Going to have barrack for the Lions again now. Don't want anyone else left in it to win.

Without a doubt, Port and Brisbane should play off in the Grand Final now that we've failed to overcome the Saints. We could have beaten the Power, but the Saints won't because they don't travel well. The Saints will be sore after this game and will not prove strong opposition to the Power.
In turn, the Power will not be able to win at the MCG again, and Brisbane should win the Grand Final by about 8 goals.
At the request of several Melbourne-based clubs led by Collingwood, the AFL will review the salary cap concessions for Brisbane after this season, and probably ours as well. Brisbane will have their cap concessions reduced substantially and be forced to trade a couple of players to stay under the lower cap. Ours will also be reduced, but not by much; because we don't use our full cap anyway for financial reasons we won't be affected. Adelaide and Perth clubs will be quiet on this issue because the cheaper cost of living in Adelaide and Perth effectively grants those four clubs a 5% salary cap concession over the Melbourne-based clubs.
We will do well in the trade period. We will draft more youth, and pick up an experienced player like Crawford from the Hawks for a second-round pick.
Or I am speculating wildly as usual.

We are getting spanked - this is just embarrassing. As weak as the collapse against the Lions in the PF last year. Very disappointing we have finished both finals series very meekly.

Tonight has confirmed we are well off being a premiership team. We need more quality ASAP. Have to be a major player in the trade period.

They're showing us up just like Brisbane did last year. That ultra defensive stuff we were trying on in the first half was pretty poor though. Even as a passionate supporter it was trying my patience.
It was like the Essendon game at the MCG earlier this year - we struggled to get the ball forward and clung to the boundary lines. Didn't work then and won't work now. It's fine to have a combination of game plans that control tempo, but we really don't seem to have put them together, and we don't seem to be able to launch major counterattacks when under pressure. Our running, attacking game only seems to happen when we're already on top, so this is something we need.

We need to do something to get the ball forward and score goals in pressure games.

I guess our wet weather game is not there - we got lucky last week because the Weagles are one of the few teams that are worse in the wet, but with the city of Sydney forgetting what rain is in the last year or two (hint: it's water that falls from the sky) it's no wonder we can't really play in the wet.
There's always next year. Let's hope it's a good one.

I must say I couldn't understand in the first half, when we couldn't get any forward momentum, at stoppage after stoppage, the hitout was an attempted palm down to a rover instead of a belt forward.
I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
