Who will be delisted and traded?

we had 3 guys promoted from the Rookie list Bevan,Mcglone and Rogers.
I can only see Bevan a certainty to stay on the senoir list with Mcglone an outside chance.
So with warfe retiring Bevan takes his spot which leaves us still with a full list.

    Here are my thoughts
Warfe retired (replaced on senoir list by Bevan)
Micklejohn delisted (tuff but room has to be made)
Sunny delisted (hopefully put on Rookie list)
    Fosdike trade bait
Ablett possible trade bait (Roos has already stated on Radio that he achieved way more than was expected so most likely won't go anywhere)
Fixter trade bait (love this guy but he is to injury prone and tuff decisions have to be made)
Malceski ???? not sure how far off senoir selection he was before injured
Thewlis ???? make or break next year
Powell ???? could be traded if the right person become available
James ???? won't be going anywhere in my opinion

    Rookies
Mcglone ???? if not kept on the senoir list should be given a chance somewhere else as he deserves senoir action
Rogers ???? May go back on the Rookie list but may also be cut
Potter Did he do enough to stay on as a Rookie ..........unsure
    Hunt delisted
Taylor I feel will be kept.

Could see a few regular senoir players traded to get that gun midfielder or Ruckman.
Will be the most important trading peroid in a long time for the swannies

Meiklejohn, Sunny and Powell will be chopped. Of those, I suspect the club would be happy to rookie list any that were still available.

One of Mathews, O'Keefe, Fixter, Fosdike and Saddington will be traded, most likely in combination with a top 30 draft pick, as part of the annual chase for one disaffected senior player or another. Obviously, which of those five it is depends on the situation, and some are more likely than others depending on relative value to the club and to the market.

    Only Bevan will be promoted.

Couldn't see O'Keefe being traded unless he wanted to go back to Melbourne

It has been reported that Ball will go on next year

        Interesting times ahead

Roos has already said Ball has opted to play on next year.

I also reckon if they had to choose between Sundqvist and Malceski they'd pick Malceski. He was looking pretty good in the pre-season and was touted by Roos as one of the most likely to make an early season debut before he did his knee.

My guess is that either Powell or James will be chopped, and if they think they can secure an experienced ruckman MJ may also be on his way, though they may well look to take another young ruckman in the draft.

MJ has the build and his ruck skills seem to have come along OK but hasn't shown he's able to do much around the ground at Canberra league level. Given he can't blame his physique for a lack of impact, his development would have to be incredible in the next couple of years for him to become an AFL level big man.

I think Heath James's time is up. Was played early in the season but could not find his way back. If he was one of those to be pushed along he would have got a lot more tries. I think they made up their minds that he wasn't in future planning.

Sundquist will probably go and Powell too wasn't given much time so he will probably move on. Can't see Rogers at the club and Mcglone was promoted but not played so he will rpobably struggle to stay.

Reality is every club, most years, needs to turnover 5 listed players.

                    Sunqvist(Rookie if avaiable)

                    Jamie Charman(I can hope)

What to look for in draft:

Another young ruckman using first pick
                    A big full forward.
Another tall that could play either end.

Jeez... anyone would think he got smashed by Andrew Bomford in round five, not David Neitz... zero faith ever since then.

He'll get a go, have faith.
There was no way he was going to play in those last few games anyway.

                          my opinion:

                          retirements:
                          J. Ball (if that is what he chooses)
                          R. Warfe

delisted (guys with little or no trade value):
                          J. Meiklejohn
                          M. Powell
                          J. Sundqvist

trade bait (guys that would probably have some trade value, otherwise they will stay on the list):
                          L. Ablett
                          N. Fosdike
                          J. Saddington

                          rookie movements:
S.McGlone delisted or back to rookie list if possible
                          A. Rogers back to rookie list
                          D. Hunt delisted
The other rookies will get another year.
                          P. Bevan promoted to senior list permanently wearing no.14 - I think it is time.

I think Malceksi will get another go, this was only his 2nd year, unlike Sundqvist & Powell who have now been around for longer. I would be very suprised if any other senior player was traded other than those listed above. But I would be open to trading any player as long as it appeared to improve our side.

                            Agreed.

People have rocks in their heads if they think we can afford to delist our only senior listed K/P defender back up. God I can only wait til Schauble, Barry and C-Bolt go down with injury
