Swans dangle Fosdike,Davis in bid for Ottens

Thewlis is a new name which has now been put up for trade. In regard to Davis it is now very obvious that Roos was definately upset with the antics of Davis during the season.

Why is it very obvious? Don't believe everything you read in the papers.

On the subject of Davis, surely no other club would dare to take him, considering how 'homesick' he was. I would think he would go close to walking away from the game.

That could be why we are trying to trade him. (Before he leaves us for nothing).

But I like our side a lot better with him in it, so hopefully this is just a wake-up call.

Sorry guys, but Davis ain't going anywhere unless he gets traded to the Cronulla Sharks or St. George Dragons.

Trust me, he would rather quit the game at the drop of a hat rather than go anywhere.

I'd certainly regard Davis as a lot more expendable than Saddington and Fosdike, who fit into the categories of players (tall defender and attacking midfielder) we're lacking. However, I agree it's unlikely he'll go.

But who would we take from the sharks or dragons ?

Kimmorley might have got a bit of AFL experience from his time in Melbourne.

Would be a shame if we lost Davis - he has the potential to be one of the top 3 or 4 players in our side.

I agree with the views that if he leaves us then he'll leave the AFL. Seems fairly unlikely. He may be underperforming relative to his ability, yet he's still clearly in our best 22.

If Davis stays time to put the acid on him............he has more talent than half our team but injuries and maybe attitude are holding him back. It will be an interesting 12 months in the career of one Nick Davis

I like your sense of humour Barry!

And i do agree that next season Davis needs to put in a big performance - that's assuming that he's fit and uninjured.

I'm thinking the Melbourne deal for overall selection No.31 and Mark Powell for ruckman Darren Jolly is a more realistic option as Powell has shown some desire to be traded to a Melbourne club.

Im sorry, but have i missed something? I know Davis helps teach some league lads how to kick a footy, but what league club would want him?? He would get murdered by the likes of O'Meley and Morley who would target him to no end. He would be better suited to something like NFL where he can come on, kick it 80m and go off with the protection of 6 foot 8 monsters.

This is just being used to give the kid a big kick up the ass to wake him up i think. We wouldnt trade him i dont think due to his potential, and maybe this is what he needs as a wake up call.

If he doesn't want to play then he can p*+s off!

I am sick of these pampered pansies in footy having problems in the head etc etc. He has had a dream run through his background.

I DO feel sorry for kids who by virtue of their background/ education cannot get a job anywhere though! A young man with a fat contract who is lazy.......no way.

Let's save the money and spend it on someone who wants to play.......

Davis shouldn't be traded - he is good when he is in the team - I am sure Roos is capable of pulling him into line.

Could we maybe trade him to the Bullldogs for Willie Mason? Then we'd have our knarly fullback/gorilla killer.
