    TLM Round 2

    This week is not offering any easier selections than last week! Unfortunately, the difficulties are due to a decided lack of star performances... But don't let that stop you from voting!

          if you can't email, PM charlie (is that ok, CG?) keeps the voting secret etc. I'll try to get SOMETHING together by next week.. I'm no PHP genius though, so it might be semi/non working!!

          177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

              don't think anyone deserves a vote from that effort...
              "Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

                      Possibly true, but this is the opposite attitude to what I need.

                      The TLM counts EVERY match, regardless of whether or not the performance warrants the votes. In a match where the team has performed badly, the TLM participation rate always drops by a considerable margin. This has an adverse affect, because rather than stating that the performance wasn't worthy of votes, the votes are simply awarded on fewer opinions.

                      For instance, Person A might have thought that a certain player played very well, but Persons B, C, D, E, F, and G all think that they played poorly. It suddenly doesn't matter what the popular opinion is, only what A thinks. The votes aren't truly representative of opinion.

                      I would like to make a special request for people to vote this week. The TLM will benefit for it... and the right people will get the votes. It's YOUR chance to be the judge.

                          Well, the thing with the TLM, or even the Brownlow for that matter, is that it's all relative. 10 performances from the carlton game might all be better than the best performance in the freo game, but you can only award votes to the BEST on the day.

                          I think I can come up with at least 3 players who did something good.
