    Well, think about it from Richmonds POV.

    They have Simmonds in the PSD.

    They will be getting him for free 'trade wise' so they are already ahead.

    If I was negotiating with the Tigers, I would be playing on their concerns with a teetering Geelong deal and making a 'now or never' play.
    The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.

      On Ottens, I expect the Swans to offer a 1st-round and 2nd-round pick tomorrow (Friday) and the Tigers to accept that. Ottens isn't as good as everyone says he is (what has he done in the last 3 years), and the Tigers know it.

      If the Tiges have recruited Simmonds, they have found an adequate replacement for Ottens, so they don't need to go to the draft for replacements, so their need of first-round draft picks isn't as urgent.
