Why do people just pluck numbers from thin air?

Heard both the Jolly interview and the Ottens interview this arvo.

On the basis of brains I think we won out. Ottens is cetainly not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

On SEN, it is bloody good radio station. Updates all arvo on the cricket, entertaining and chocablock with info. They talk about the things the fans want to talk about. Heaps of talk back, and are rarely condescending with any caller no matter how stupid that person may sound.

I have it on at work all day, and Kevin Bartlett in the morning is excellent.

yep, my assessment too. while i chose to be optimistic when the possibility of him coming arose, i'm happier with the arrival of jolly. first of all he's not under an injury cloud and secondly, he's not got a massive weight of expectation upon him.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know
