Rowan Warfe must be dropped, he makes too much mistakes and I wouldn't be surprised if he is delisted at the end of the season.
warfe should be dropped

True true. He is a joke- Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing! -

But one thing he can do is make sure he's 5m behind his opponent - REGULARLY!
IMHO he will struggle to keep his spot when guys start returning from injury, in particular Ben Fixter.
I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

warfie is a trier, but lacks skill. It would be interesting to see the frees against count over the past few years. RW seems to give away a hell of a lot of frees...whish for a backman is really dangerous."Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."Comment

Tried hard but not skilful enough. Hard task playing on Farmer who was always going to have too much pace for him.Comment

medhurst was quite good, his body work on barry was brilliant when he bumped him off then took the mark in the freo 50... fixter woulda been outbodied as well, maybe c. bolton (if we coulda spared him) shoulda been on medhurst, who knows???
i think barry woulda been a better opponent on farmer, warfe shoulda been matched up on the pineC'mon Chels!Comment

Leo was outsmarted, simple as hat. Racoon realised he would attack the footy and played in a way to exploit his faults. Not a memorable ton, sorry Leo but he didnt play well at all. Better on a bigger oponent- Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. The only player who should have played on Farmer is Crouch. He has played on him before constantly and beaten him. We had enough players to run through the midfield to spare crocuh.
Warfe is a joke. However he did take a couple of good contested grabs, which is a good sign. I think it's up to the coaching staff to teach the bloke to kick. His shot on goal was simply embarrasing. Yes everyone is allowed to miskick but from the moment he lined up it was obvious he would miss. I have seen better in the under 12's.
People who are saying Kirk had a bad game are on drugs. He completely blanketed Headland. He was played as a tagger and thats exactly what he did.
Does anyone know who was on Halseby? Whoever it was should certainly be dropped.Comment

as when a player kicks the ball u dont see it up close, ie the camera will pan out or otherwise u r just too far away but when a kick comes off warfe's boot it seems as though he doesnt watch the ball to boot, would anyone be able to comment on this?
i think the floater should be renamed the warfeC'mon Chels!Comment

Fixter was the right match-up - we need him back ASAP. Our midfield was well down with Crouch up there - he definitely was needed in the middle.
Warfe is a running half-back who is prepared to put his body on the line. He just isn't suited to playing a close-checking role on a player like Farmer.
He is suited to Roos' game plan, which appears likely to give him plenty of chances this year. But if he can't take them, he is in trouble.Comment

I dont think he is suited to roos game plan, he is only suited at the moment because of fixter and seymour out. Warfe is merely a back up, that is all he is till the end of the year when he is gone.No.1 ticket holder of Nick Davis Fan Club...Comment

roosy's gameplan seems to be run hard (warfe is slow), get numbers to the ball (this is when warfe would trip over his own two feet), share it around (warfe couldnt the side of a barn with his handballs) until someone breaks clear (warfe is slow), then kick it down the ground (warfe couldnt hit the side of 3 barns next to each other with his kicking skill) to someone in the clear and then deliver it to a leading forward (warfe cant kick)... remind me again how warfe fits into the gameplan?C'mon Chels!Comment

Everyone here seems to be so critical without understanding what is going on.
In its most basic form, the game plan Roos has implemented involves:- handball in defence until a player is clear
- chip the ball wide to hard-running defenders/midfielders who make space
- these defenders and midfielders run hard ahead of the play when we have possession b/w half-back and the wing
- then look for leading forwards such as Hall, Davis, Nicks etc
Answering the direct question first, Warfe fits into this game plan as he is a hard-running defender who can get into space and make an option.
To me it was always obvious that we would get hurt using this style of play when:
a) oppostion put us under immense pressure (especially in our back half) causing turnovers
b) our foot skills let us down further up the ground, leaving us very vulnerable to the turnover
c) late in games the physical toll of such a taxing running style of play leads to players not making the space to provide an option
It might sound as though I'm critical of this game plan, but actually I'm not really. However it does require an understanding of what Roos is trying to achieve, and not praise/complaints depending on whether we win/lose.
This style will work well when we are a good, consistent and highly skilled side (what they hope will be the case in 2/3/4 years). Roos has taken the decision to implement it now with the associated inconsistency and pain in the short-term, hoping that it will stand us in good stead in the long run.
In the second quarter where we were really punished was on the rebound after skill errors. Fremantle midfielders and half-forwards were well in the clear after their opponents had run hard ahead of the play to make an option - just like the Brisbane game at the Gabba last year, when you try and be enterprising and run ahead of the play, you're going to get murdered if the ball is turned over consistently.
There will be times this year where we look awesome, but also times where it all falls apart.Comment
