If you go back to the start of the match Don Scott said he was going to be "very biased" because it could of been the last time he would of seen Hawthorn in it current form - remember he was leading the anti merger fight at Hawthorn at the time.
were the commentators too biased

I can understand that in the situation he and the Hawks were in that he could be biased but I feel that Commentry should not be biased and therefore Scott should have stood down from that game and maybe enjoyed watching it without expressing his comments to all viewers when they are extremely one sided. It would have been a different story if only Hawthorn supporters were watching the match.
IMO the commentators should not show any bias at all if possible or as little as possible. Another suggestion would be that the networks should cater for supporters of both clubs and have a biased commentator for each team - this could turn to some punch ups in the commentry box though..Comment

I agree with Skells. I remember Scott and the anti-merger fight, however I don't think that's an excuse in the slightest. He should have excused himself and Ch 7 should have arranged anothe commentator.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

commentators biased
yes those silly "freo" commentators were way to biased. they seemed to think that the dockers fans were their only audience and they thought that the dockers couldn't do anything wrong.
Off all the out of sydney commentators, i have to say they seemed to be the most biased commentators i have heard. At least with the melbourne commentators they give a more even sided commentary .Go North Shore Bombers!!!!Comment

Listen to Hudson call a Hawks game-you can almost hear him ejaculating whenever his team are doing well. He frequently makes comments such as "We're killing 'em" et al. A joke.

OMG!
I just watched the game last night because I was out on Sat night. Agree with everything here - they were disgraceful!!
And as for Dean Kemp. He had nothing intelligent to say, just repeated what the others said in different words - really bad!
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.Comment
