Round 7 and 8 will be heaps better. You get a taste of both stadiums. And two big opponents. Essendon normally get at least 45000 through the gates. Plus a trip to Olympic Park is a must. Stay at the Novotel or Ibis upstairs and take in the Olympic atmosphere.And imagine what it was like in September 2000.Originally posted by port1978

Swimming in the Olympic pool that Thorpie did so well in is also very cool. Even myself the wookie felt I was swimming really fast when I had a dip in it.
Port are no longer going to be the low-profile opponent they once were. If we have a good start to the season , expect over 30000 to be in attendence, if not more.
We might even be able to get James into the after-match as well. (you, we'll just leave on the streets )

No, but membership should get you in OK.
From memory the last time they played here, they had a big function at the Paddington RSL. Often opposing teams will meet supporters in the Bradman Stand along from our after-match.Will I be left on the streets after both matches we go to....not just when Port beat you guys?
