Ask me Round 22 2005.
How anyone can be so confident we stuffed up in this draft is beyond me. Spriggs turns into a star and James becomes a new Dunkley...is that the Swans stuffing up?
Wait and see.
We could have picked up Mcgough who is a proven really good midfeilder (anzac day BOG), ready to go. Or better yet we could have gone for some young KPP, we already have over 4-5 young midfielders on the list. I hope Spriggs goes well, but at best he is a risk.Comment

I have my doubts that Roos is in control of this aspect of the team. If he is , he is falling into the same mistakes that Eade made under this rather dominating adminsitration- the only differance that I can see is that Roos is a better comunicator and nurturer of his talent.Originally posted by eirinn
I trust that Roosy knows what he's doing.Comment

Hey footyhead, could you ease up on the swearing a bit please? Doesn't anyone read the forum guidelines anymore? Inserting one asterisk in the middle of the offending word isn't much of an effort. I'm sure you can find some other way of expressing yourself.
177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

who isn't at pick 47? they usually turn out to at least play a bit and sometimes are good or even great. often they don't play twenty games.Originally posted by footyhead
I hope Spriggs goes well, but at best he is a risk.then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i knowComment

Well I'm sorry, I thought an asterisk would surffice, but I will try to be more understanding. However I do find the prudishness with regards to the entirety of the lanuage a little trite.Originally posted by desredandwhite

I am perfectly confident that we are heading in the right direction. You need to remember that the only way we will get the best draft talent is too have a shocking year and finish last to get priority picks. As Roos and the Swans have already stated, in the fickle Sydney market the Swannies cannot afford to do that. I personally think that the Swans are doing well and 2005 and beyond is looking promising.Originally posted by footyhead

I think the stability at the club is good. We have lost no experienced players and have recruited 2 players with AFL experience, James is back with a handful of games under his belt, and showed some good signs whenhe did play, and a young kid.
This gives us a good base to build on, for next year.Comment

My thoughts also. Footyhead I enjoy your posts, but it is not necessary to be so crass to get a point across.Originally posted by desredandwhite
