Look at the beginning of this season (about 5 rounds in) I was all bells and wistles, and a few of you had a digg at me then, well then the wheels slowed right down (if not fel right off mid season) and I started calling it as I saw it then.
I basically think I call it as I see it.
The Swans are looking good in many respects , the jury is still out on whether Roos is the second comming (which unfortunatly is what we need to make the front page of the Sydney papers!), but he is better than at least 12 other coaches in the league.
As for the Swans as corporate entity? well they really need to start making some profit. Very undynamic economic managment from a bunch of people who are too afraid of failer, as oppessed to obssesed with the possibilty of success!

Every year it gets harder to pick out the diamonds at the back end of the draft. Fifteen other teams have bypassed these guys who on the surface look like gems. Why?

Have we picked up guys with bad training habits? Off field ratbags? Just not good enough? Or have we been smart?

Performance will tell. I hope we have been smart, but reserve judgement until I see them in action next year.

Apparently the club finished in the black anyway and the 5 year plan aims for financial stability..... they are on the right track. i know you feel that the club and it's supporters are satisfied with mediocrity, but it's a lose/ lose situation.

If you come out every year and say," we will definitely win the flag this year"; you end up being branded a @@@@ eyed optimist

On the other hand; being happy with finals, or just the team doing ok, and you're not ambitious enough.

Every side aims to win the flag; some are closer than others....

Keep calling it as you see it mate, people might bag you from time to time, who cares?

Once again the Swans showed yesterday why they will not win a flag in the next 5-10 years. Stupid draft selections followed by stupid rookie picks. Ryan Quade was clearly on of the best in the group, clearly beating the others in test such as the time trial and beep test. Stupid decisions = no premiership. One wonders how some of these players 'really' got on the list

I've never heard of this player, so this isn't meant as a comment about him, but if he is such a stand-out, why weren't any of the other clubs jumping up and down to draft him?

He was only trying out for a rookie list spot, and plays in the act league. Was part of the ACT team that won the Australian championships. Doesn't big note himself, which is probably (ironically) his biggest downfall. As they say thems the breaks, go and watch Quenbeyan one day and see what you think. I think you will be sadly dissapointed.........
