Well done Sydney Swans!Great effort! Now let us build on this!
Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.

Your determination, your tenacity and your under-rated skill is why you have become my favourite player!

I know what plagarism is, you see thats the kind of thing they teach you in a legal course. Maybe when you finally make it to kindagarden from the Special school your parents send you to now, you'll learn that too.

As for my opinions not being worth the space its typed on well I guess thats in the eye of the beholder. Still at least my opinions are repected on here, compared to yours. Anyway I guess your a bitter and twisted person who has nothing better to do than pick at other people's faults to make you feel better over your own shortcomings.

And by the way, what you think of me doesnt matter.
Seems to me that it does. Otherwise why reply????

I agree. That's very gracious of you, JF. If I remember correctly (and please correct me if I'm wrong), you and other regular contributors were quite vocal against Colless.

There was an article earlier this year by Dermie, praising about the development of our club infrastructure over the years. He attributed Colless (and the Board) for coordinating this.

Very content with the direction the club is heading in the admin/financial, football department and above all the member/supporter area of things. 3 out of 3 in the three main areas of the club is a good strike rate.

While it has taken us a while, we finally look to have a solid base and establsihed footprint as a club in both Sydney and Melbourne.

Makes you wonder how hard it must of been in the year leading up to and during the Rugby World Cup. Would seem alot of heavy duty sponsorship money was sucked from the club over to it. Glad it was only a one off, or at least for another 16 years or so.

Yes mate, this is very true. I was one of his biggest detractors to be brutally honest in lieu of the Wallacegate affair. There were examples of things he had said to supporters and members that left me furious back then. But these are thankfully things well well into the past. He deserves full credit in the fact we have turned things around so quickly off the field.

But he is as much responsible for the turnaround in the club's economic position. As much as they were nice people, both Kelvin Templeton and Colin Seery neither couldn't keep club expediture in check, nor laid down a serious platform for the long term growth of the club. Colless found the right guy. And within the space of 12 months the club looks totally different from the one we once had. Voting rights, a club-house, a serious football-savvy Melbourne office, 6 games in Victoria. Just amazing advances in our club's position.

On the field I still have hesitations that we may not be quite where we could be in terms of the ability of our side. But considering the fact that we really only started our mid/long term rebuilding process in October 2002, we are probably already well well well ahead of where we thought we were going to be at this period in time. Hey, we were a mere quarter away from the Grand Final. We are already trying to draft tall defender and likely onballer types so as to plug the deficiencies in the playing roster. It is from this that a champion team can be built.

From there we can aim to not just be up there, but be THE powerhouse club of the AFL. Our club IS very very much capable of being this. We still have a long way in which we can develop in the Sydney market.

Well I'll let my wife take some credit for that! Came home with over $350 worth of merchandise the other day (it was "on special"you see)... not that I was complaining

Well done Swannies. Always the BEST way to keep the club afloat is through strong financial management, and in my books the true sign of success. Mostly I just want the club to be around when my son is as old as I am.

I know those words, but that sign doesn't make sense.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I wonder how they managed this. I know that at every away game the lovely gals from the Melbourne office travel with Tony Morwood around the country with quite a bit of merchandise. Needless to say that in places like Perth it is snapped up with glee by the hard core fans over there.

I used to enjoy the club having the Swans Shop in the old members carpark. That "Score" place is highly impersonal and inadequate as a place to sell merchandise. It is never open, there is NRL and ARU stuff everywhere (which to me is a huge turn-off). And the woman there appears to always be on drugs or something.

Maybe have a supporters store at the Sydney Aussie Rules Social Club in the Cross? That would be heaps cool!
