Funny that because I see them anyway for Round 1. Is it at Telstra Dome or Optus Oval?

I think we need a 3-5 year plan for the Wizard Cup

Get the cow on the board. he is a genius. What about blooding a few young guys in the seniors during the H&A in readiness for the Wiz Cup and going all out for premiership glory in Canberra?

Ignoring Sanecow's typical dribble, I am quite open in wanting us to take the Wizard Cup a bit more seriously than we do. Last season's match was a complete embarrassment to our club and a complete waste of time to go to to be honest. I still very little purpose in playing SO MANY youngsters in what I still consider to be a competitive match.

Maybe being a soccer fan I have the concept of a cup competition etched into my psyche, but I just want to win something. People may say that it means nothing to win a Wizard Cup, but especially in Sydney where it takes a while for people to get back into the footy mindset again, I can see a multitude of advantages in us doing well in the WC.

I think there are enough trial matches elsewhere where we can play a whole team of kids. I see the WC as a competitive match. Hence I want us to win it.

But how can you be expected to take a match like that seriously when club members are not even allowed entry with their memberships. If we were allowed free and it was promoted a bit more you would get infinitely more than the 6-8000 we have got to Telstra Stadium over the last 2 seasons.

The way it has been the last couple of years, I have to admit that there is little purpose in playing the WC. But I still see the competition as a serious contest. Hence I would like us to put in a fair dinkum effort if at all possible.

Glad I am not the only one finding that dribble.

It kind of wears off when every post he makes totally destroys what we are talking about.

As annoyingly negative Footyhead is, at least he doesn't destroy posts by saying something stupid.

He starts posts, and in turn generates debate, by saying things that are stupid!

Personally, I would really like to see us win the WC.

I don't think it will do s any harm and would help to create a desperately needed premiership winning culture.

It did a lot for our club in 1982, and didn't seem to hurt Hawthorn in the 80s winning both the day and night GFs.

God knows we aint winning any real premierships... so lets go for the next best thing!

                          re: the bench

im pretty sure we were only allowed the 6 on the bench last wizz fizz as it was meant to be a 34 degree day...

putting that mock 22 together makes me appreciate the size of our rookies! all the big blokes are over 90kg...

a kick would be a goal anywhere else on the globe. Just not at Gore Hill Oval...

PS:- Newcastle would be the best example of a dangerous ground. Rock hard, it only leads to players getting injured more easily. Lavington would be another due to the barrier fence.
