    Hall loves the lead role

    Hall loves the lead role

BARRY Hall's boyhood dream of captaining the Sydney Swans is a step closer to becoming a reality after he was recently elevated to the players' leadership group by his peers for the 2005 season. Excellent news. IMHO I think this will be a huge boost to his confidence (not that he really needs anymore) and I think he will do well as a leader, now he has controlled his agro.

"Roos confirmed that his star centre-fielder, who turned 28 on Tuesday, had now overcome the biggest hurdle to becoming the next Sydney captain. " Since when has he been a centre-fielder?

I find it hard to believe that Barry Hall's "booyhood dream" was to captain the swans. I never knew he supported the swans as a kid.

Something else that article tells us (if we believe it) is that Maxfield is set to continue as captain this year.

Most of us had probably assumed he would but quotes emanating from the club last year suggested that Maxfield was going to think about whether he wanted to continue as captain.

Given the word "centre", I image it is smack bang in the middle of the pitch!!!

I think Baz would only be a good captain if you put aside the bad tempers and him losing his cool some of the time.
Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.

Only when the phone is working!! Sometimes that can be fixed with a sharp tap against some solid object (a tactic often used by Eade - he fixed many phones that way)

I think Maxfield will captain this year, I would still prefer to see him aid a new captain during his first year at the helm.

Perhaps Maxfield will play on next year and do that

Swans marketing are in full swing!

First we had the article about how the swans,"were going to be FASTER and FITTER this season!!!"

Now its about Barry Hall's boyhood dream to captain the swans!

                            IT'S SUCH A FEELGOOD TIME!

The swans want to FEEL how much money you have got in your wallet, they hope it's a GOOD amount because it is TIME to start putting bums on seats!
Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.

Your determination, your tenacity and your under-rated skill is why you have become my favourite player!

IMO Big (Not bad anymore) bustling Barry has been a "leader" for a couple of years now. A leader who imposes himself on the game.

You have to admire his passion!

                              Go Swans!
