First warm up of the season! 48 is Andrew Hayes and 43 is Stefan Garrubba. LRT shows off his new hairstyle far left
Weren't some of the new 'dos' a complete shocker. LRT going the surfer boy look, Brett Kirk's jet black mullet, Mark Powell's mop, Spriggs' even worse mullet. And Ryan O'Keefe with what looked like semi-longish blonde locks. Several of us were musing over how we could tease Bon Bon with this news. But I'm sure she'll see ut all next Saturday.l

As the moment they'd be up there with Richmond and Hawthorn as the bad hair team of the AFL.

The crowd never really got into the match, the atmosphere was quite subdued. Even when the Swans kicked a goal there was hardly any cheering. And I agree with JF, I was surprised when they announced the crowd at 9.5k, it certainly looked a lot more than that to me.

I liked the way M McVeigh gave Jared a slap on the bum and helped him fall over and got a little jibing from the supporters around us, but then later on stepped between his brother and a team mate when a little jostling started.

FH the game wasn't ultra defensive, it was a trial with a lot of kids the kids playing. We showed some good spark and from all commentary I've heard this morning from the sports journos they were impressed with the way the Swans played.

What was missing was that buzz of playing a premiership game. IMO to the supporters it really meant nothing in terms of what was up for grabs and the atmosphere was relaxed. I must admit by midway through the 3rd we were chatting while watching, where as in the first 2 Q's we were sitting watching intently.

and Bo Ryan did look very good and if he has to wear his hair like that to play, so what, don't let those horrid boys like Julian get to you

Thank you so much for the photos. They are very very appreciated.
The new hair gets a vote of confidence from me, but then I've always been a sucker for long hair on a man. That new Spanish tennis player,Nadal???,has pleasing hair et.al.
Thanks also for the comments on the atmosphere. I almost feel that I was there. Well almost.

                      Fantastic pictures, very nice.

I'll have a go at naming the players although I'm sure Liz will trump me!

Next to Micky O, is it Ablett?

Oh, and I think Jolly's behind Stephen Doyle (he's crouching a bit and still almost as tall as Doyley, which would make the tall guy near Micky Earl Shaw (I think).

Obviously it was the fact that there was not enough violence Footyhead. That was what made the game so boring!

I think that is Ablett next to Micky.

I think Shaw is the one at back with the sunnies on his cap but I haven't seen him for a few years so can't be sure. He had long flowing hippy style locks last time I saw him. He looked like a girl running round the field

Ah, could very well be. I still think Jolly is the one behind Doyle, though, the hair has that weird shape.
