Ah! But Kennelly was playing Gaelic footy which has much in common with our game, particularly those aspects which take the longest to learn - reading the play, going where the ball will be - not where it is now, running to space, etc. All he had to do was learn how to tackle (and avoid them) and how to chase "rabbits"!

His chances of securing CHB with an AFL team are probably past him at this stage, but his opportunity to give and insight into a player isn't, particulalry as he has seen this kid's development well before he was picked up by Sydney.

I think a kid of that size wih that much ability should for a little while at least be given a bit more than an even break.
After all we pinched him from the bum sniffers- that's gotta be worth something.
Even if he doesn't make it to 100 plus games the kid has still single handedly done more for the Swans than any one on this site.

I'd love to be proved wrong. Re: Kenneally - he played a similar game as a kid, only the ball-shape changed. But going from Rugby to footy is a much bigger change - its a totally different game.

Maybe it'll take longer cos all talls take longer to develop.

I couldn't hold down CHB, I know that. But I'm not trying to, am I?
