Luke Ablett - Knee - Fitness work
Leo Barry - Ankle - Returns next week to training
Jared Crouch - Collarbone - Fitness work
Adam Goodes - Knee - Fitness work
Ben Mathews - Ankle - Returns next week to training
Michael O?Loughlin - Knee - Fitness work
Andrew Schauble - Foot - Fitness work
It's difficult to read between all the lines, but here is the injury list from ten days ago.
It would seem that "fitness work" means you are further away than "traingin next week." and that presumably if you are traingin next week, whihch means this week, you will be fit enough to play a practice match and get up for round 1
Neither of the Davis' are on the injured list here, nor Malceski, Erikson, Schmidt, Saddington or Sundqvist. I guess they must be in full training.
So we are still a chance to be without
Crouch, Schauble, O'Loughlin, Ablett and Goodes.
Of those Goodesy and Ablett have been making nice noises, O'Loughlin is being "managed" but there is an ominous silence about Crouch and Schauble isn't there?
Good to see roosey saying that the last two practice games he will be honing in on his best team. Of course with as many reserves as you like it will be difficult for an observer to know which rotation is the "blueprint" one.
So from my best 22 I see Maxfield coming in for Crouch and James for Schauble...even though Dempster was more impressive...you wouldn't put him on Holland, Everitt or Barker would you?
Thus Rd 1 team
Five midfielders - Williams, Kirk, J. Bolton, Kennelly, Maxfield,
Two Small Forwards - McVeigh, N.Davis
Two Small Backs - Bevan, Mathews
Two Medium Forwards - Goodes, O'Keefe
Two Medium Backs - Barry, C. Bolton
Two Tall Forwards - Hall, O'Loughlin
Two Tall Backs - James, Roberts - Thomson
One Ruckman - Ball
Bench
One Ruckman/Tall Forward - Doyle
One Medium - Nicks
Two Smalls - Schneider, Buchanan
Emergencies
One Tall - Saddington (forward only)
Two Smalls - Moore, Ablett
Leo Barry - Ankle - Returns next week to training
Jared Crouch - Collarbone - Fitness work
Adam Goodes - Knee - Fitness work
