Reckon he stil needs to bulk up considerably before he can hold down CHB, howver reading the play is one of his better attributes, imho. thanks
I reckon he can hold his own in terms of strength, he has a good leap too and took at least one strong contested mark yesterday that I can recall. However, his kicking isn't the best, some work on this area could be good. In regards to his decision making, the quicker he gets rid of the ball the better. The longer he holds on to it, the more nervous he seems to become, and ends up making a poor choice or executing his disposal poorly.

It really rams home where people who actually turn up want to watch games !

No it doesnt. Similar trials at the SCG against Carltion and Richmond have gotten half that many at the SCG over recent years.

As with everything in Sydney it is al about PROMOTION. The NSO match was promoted. Yesterday wasn't at all.

But I do admit battling the Parramatta Rd traffic is a bit of an ordeal just for a practise match.

And the Olympic Park precint is just such a ghosttown. So much concrete, so plastic, such little life, such limited food and drink options.

But yesterday was a practise match. Last week was a Wizard Cup match. The WC actually kind of had a bit of point to it. That's probably why no one bothered to go to the game.
Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.

Maybe read the original post before deciding who can and who cannot discern between trials and season proper games !
I read the post thanks. The Essendon trial is heavily promoted and has become a novelty trial game. My point is clear - 5200 is a good crowd for a trial game. However, I'm not sure how clear I have to be to get through to an idiot like you.

Sorry for being so dense, i see your point now, 5200 is a good crowd for a trial game (at Homebush) but not a "NOVELTY" trial game (at NSO)

              Your too funny !!!

Sorry Mark, but I'm with Cruiser on this one. The NSO match is commonly known as the start of the AFL season in Sydney. The match yesterday was put on at the last minute, only because it originally was going to be held in Morwell Vic.

Apart from those juicemedia emails from the club, nobody would have known it was on at all.

I find it a tad fanciful to be using trial matches crowds as proof for your point that the Swans should stay at the SCG.

The proof is in the pudding Mark. At Stadium Australia the Swans average 41000 people. And the SCG more than 10000 less.

Not everyone in Sydney lives in the Eastern Suburbs mate (sorry Undertaker). It is NOT always about you!

That may not be such a bad thing for some people JF Actually, I dont know how you can say that. The choice and range of food outside Telstra Stadium is excellent and there is nothing like that at the SCG. I reckon the drink (bar) queus are much faster at Telsta too - at least much faster than they are in the MA Noble, which is hopelessly slow. In the MA Noble you can miss an entire quarter just buying your shout.

They truely want a crowd of 5 not 5000, given the reports on how we played. I won't be happy until they hide the team while it is "experimenting" with rookies, etc. surely they are not seriously wanting people to turn up to see the game. They would be better off playing an intra club practice match, that way we at least look competetive.

All is not lost. We have a crap team but great city. Brisbane has a great team, but....(read this)

I know what you are saying, but I'm talking about before and after the game outside the ground.

I know they normally have those stall things outside the ground at Homebush. But I still don't think that compares with a the Forresters or the array of Turkish Indian and Lebanese restaurants on route to/from the SCG.

I never get food or drink at the SCG during the game unless one of the sellers comes around. I want to be there to support the football, not stand in a queue.

We parked in the car park near the railway station. We have to lug 4 bloody heavy 10 foot high poles right around the other side of the ground.
