It was interesting to see Roos' claims that he's most interested in Goodes at CHB.

It seems unlikely especially after LRT's practice match form there. I read somewhere else that quoted him as stating LRT was headed for CHF.

You'd love to know what he really thinks.

In the meantime let the speculation continue.

Here we are well into our 5 year plan. We know that Goodes is a gun onballer and we know LRT is a developing player at CHB.

In the interest of developing a team that can win a flag, I would have thought we are right at that point where we need to make some very certain decisions on future team structure. Does it not make sense to really give LRT plenty of ground time at CHB, and we know Roos's philosophy on allowing players to learn by mistakes, rather than take a player (Goodes) away from a position that we know that when he is fit he will dominate.

I say go with LRT at CHB unless the medical advice is that CHB is the best possible position for Goodes regards his ability/agility to move in different directions. If Goodes plays CHB where to for LRT.
LRT looks to me to be relishing the straight forward nature of CHB.

While they both literarly can't be playing CHB at the same time, there is nothing stopping them both physically playing on two tall forwards anywhere from 15 meters out from the goal square to behind the centre square.

They probably will by the sound of Roos. And I'd love to see Goodes crunch Jonathan Brown again with a big speccie. But even more I'd love to see him carve up a midfield...

Agree! Goodsie is a creative, almost free spirit who just needs to be given a licence to create and run. IMO, when Goodes plays in the back line, he tends to play too loose as he is always looking to run off and create. He is not a naturally tight, defensive player.

I just hope his knees allow him to indeed 'run' and create havoc!

Probably wanted to speak to the dieticians, phycologists and doctors on here first to get a true evaluation of how he's going.

I suspect Ruda that Roos will try to keep Davis's profile a bit lower this year by shielding him from the news to avoid the repeat of what happened with the media last new. I suspect an agenda here and probably a wise one for club and player alike.

I hope not. I enjoy his fresh and frank interview style. Better than someone muttering out cliches. It would not be a problem if people didn't take everything so seriously. I love Nicky D, I think he is the bee's knees!

Well yes Stellation, never a dull moment on or off the field but these days footy is more about your bread and butter types with the odd bit of icing thrown in. He would have been perfect in a bygone era when everybody didn't train as much. Would have been a superstar like his cousin Crosswell.

My hope for Adam is that he becomes a ruck-rover follower, 5th opnballer. Not present in the square at the bounce but running free thereafter.

My fear is that he'll be TeasedaleII, a spectacular Brownlow medalist crippled by injury and used out of position who then buggers off to the Maggotts (is my childhood abandonement issue showing?).

I am concerned Adam at CHB may be a square peg in a round hole, besides I was hugely impressed by LRT at CHB.
