Trust me, It's more a case of where he's trying to revisit.

They had already heard of RWO, with a couple even lurking on it!

Ben (Stoliboy) is a really nice guy. My sister was getting updates from him via phone. The SCSC are a passionate bunch and do go to the trouble of organising many things for the interstate supporter. Good on them.

The promotion of the game was handled by the NSW AFL, which consisted of an ad in the paper on the Thursday & Friday leading up to the game. I'm sure in the next week that i'll find out that people did not know about the game. There were no Radio adverts or any banner type signage around the city.
When the lions played here in the late 90's, there was 2 weeks promotion with TV, Radio, Print & Banner advertising at a sustained level.

Clearly the promotion of the game was not sufficient & the local associations will be looking to promote the games themselves in the future.

We knew prior to the wizard cup that the game would be on prvided that the Swans lost in the first 2 weeks of the cup, this gave us a long time to watch the NSWAFL do nothing to promote the game, while we were not allowed to.

I honestly believe that we could have a 10,000+ crowd with the right promotion.

Its true i saw about 5 minutes of the game. I was rather busy for the duration, but it was a success from our involvement's perspective.

I got a chance to have a chat to Heath James after the game & he said his ankle injury is relitavely minor, ALTHOUGH it was swoolen up like a balloon. He said he'll be fine in a couple of days.

About 3/4 time and old hobo came into the ground. Stood on the hill in front of the scoreboard for about 30 seconds to see what was happening. I thought he'd then do a scan of all the garbage tins or watch the game but instead he turned around and walked out of the ground and up the street.

                      Oh well!!

In fact a few people left at 3/4 time. The only supporters to get excited in the closing stages of the game were all the pie supporters.

I might have gone on Saturday had I not been busy with an overseas visitor staying with me for the weekend. Up against a trial game, my visitor received priority - and so did an afternoon on the beach. However, come Round 1 of the real thing, Swans games will take priority over everything, including births, funerals and marriages. I really couldnt care about the size of the crowd at a trial game, like I also dont care about the result. But in 12 days time, almost nothing else will matter more. Bring it on!!!

Gawd. I see that O'Keefe hasnt paid any attention to the majority of RWOers who think that his current hairstyle makes him look like a girl.
