Phone rang Saturday morning - chap selling Swans raffle tickets.
He told me, almost at once , that "most" people had bought "three or four" books , at $50 a book.
So I asked him "Called all the Eastern Suburbs supporters first , did ya ?!"
(Which just goes to show - living in the WESTERN Suburbs and having a brilliant, quick, pithy mind are not mutually exclusive
_)
Now,seriously,I have known what it's like in the past to be skint.
I DID buy one book , but , RWO-ers , how many of you bought "THREE or FOUR" books of tickets?
I'd suggest he would have to call at least five people and get three buying "three or four" books before he could use the word "most".
I feel these pressurised marketing tactics are rather poor form.
Still , guess it will toughen me up for when I get accosted by the wave of white-toothed , fixed-smile wave of marketers at the SCG in a couple of weeks.
