How do you know they are any different?. With the Swans its a hit and miss affair, when we should win we often don't and we shouldn't we often do. I personaly think it will take a few more years and a stronger home and away season to take us mentally to the level we need to win a premiership.

Why does everybody get so worked up about margins?

Could not give a fat rat's clacker about the margin as long as the following happens:

1) We win

2) No one is seriously injured

3) Players who are short of some game time get a decent run to set them up for the following week

I will leave you with this final peice of wisdom as well

No side has ever won all home and away matches in 108 seasons of VFL/AFL football. I guess what you're getting at here is that margins don't matter if you have more premiership points than all the other teams.

One thing we should all remember - Even if we double the Hawks' score, it's no guarantee that we will be on top of the ladder. There's seven other games in round 1 and anything can happen.

For example, Brisbane host the Saints at the Gabba in round 1 and the last time the Saints went to the Gabba they were thumped, and that was in a final.

I would be happy with a big Swans winning margin, and "Injuries: Nil, Reports: Nil" at the bottom of the game summary. (Yes, that means none to the Hawks as well.)

Exactly, percentage is irrelevant if you finish on top of the ladder by 5 games.
