Sydney Swans coach Paul Roos said he was embarrassed by his side?s performance in the first half when the Swans were out-scored 11 goals to four by a desperate Adelaide.
The Crows bounced back strongly after their loss to St Kilda last weekend with a 27-point victory at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Roos admitted Adelaide had more incentive to win after losing to the Saints.
?They kicked five goals in four minutes - two at the end of the first quarter and three at the end of the second - and that is difference at the end of the game,? Roos said.
The Crows responded to each of Sydney?s opening five goals with one of their own within two minutes which Roos put down to lack of concentration.
?At times guys were not doing what they were suppose to be doing, Bode kicks a goal [with 20 seconds to go in first quarter] from the midfield pushes to the forward contest and no-one picks him up and goal.
?It?s not that hard but guys are not prepared to do what we asked them to do.?
During the week Roos said Sydney spent many hours at training being drilled on stoppages - a fundamental part of Adelaide?s game.
?The way we thought they would play they did and they won the game.?
After trailing by 45 points at half-time, Sydney lifted its intensity to out-score the Crows by three majors which frustrated Roos.
?We knew it was going to be a hard game but it is disappointing in terms of talent.
?They have got some top end talent, they have some really good players and it was always going to be a big challenge for us to combat that talent.
?It is a difficult question to answer on why guys would turn up to play and be ready to play from the moment the ball bounces and to come in at half-time five or six down and then to start.
?I don?t know it?s just mind-boggling.?
