    Crowd This Sunday

Are the number of empty seats again going to out number the red and white fans at the game, 30,000 would be a great crowd and i mean GREAT, anything under 25,000 is considerably poor id say, has it been advertised much over there, and remember your not a true swans fan if you dont have some sort of red and white on you

While I think westernswan worries too much about crowd sizes when what really matters is whether and how we win or lose, Ill take a stab. Being Easter, with a lot of people out of town or at the show, plus many other competing sporting events (Socceroos, Waratahs, NRL, Doncaster), I'll predict on a sunny 25C day a crowd of 28,546.

I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.

It's been raining off and on all day today (hard at times) and is still at it.

From what I saw of the SBS coverage of the Aust-Iraq game at the Olympic Stadium they had a 30,000 plus crowd. I'd be amazed if we got anything near that. Surely 25,000 on an Easter Sunday is as good as we could get.
I don't watch much commercial TV but there have been ads promoting the game, also a bit on radio and in the press. The SMH had a reasonable coverage although it all revolved around whether the Swans would ever win the flag. One quote from Michael Cockerill was "Sydney's fan base is the envy of clubs in rival codes but, after 23 years, they lack the one true measure of success: the flag." Plus a bit of reminding by Richard Hinds of how close we got in '96. "So close yet so far". The Daily Telegraph has also been running some stories and has also been advertising its Souvenir 2005 Team Poster in your Sunday Telegraph.
You really would have to have been under a rock to not know that there's a game happening at the SCG on Sunday.

Why would any member in Sydney in the first weak of the footy not attend this game?
Haven't they been infected by the addiction yet?
Haven't they been craving all the off season?

I am rostered on for Surf Patrol today and I am having a personal battle to decide what to do! I may sneak down to the beach and see if they have enough people then runaway if they do.

weddings, funerals, work commitments.. sometimes you don't have a choice.

I'll be there with 2 others who have never been to a live game, so hopefully we'll see some exciting footy from the Swans and they'll become members after this!

The guilt will be offset by joy of a 100 point thrashing dished out by the Swans.
I kid.. its too cold for the beach anyways - no one will be there!
