crows were pumped to turn the tables on port, as port dominate showdowns and took the SA crown by winning the flag. Im hoping they will be flat for us.

Id back us to win the next two in sydney, even against melbourne
and then depending on how we go in those two id decide our chances against west coast

i firmly believe we have put ourselves back on the right track
Theres not much left to say

I think Crows might be flat next week, but I don't believe this is necessarily the case.

With our tendency to reflect our opponents standing in our own game, the way the Crows played today can only be a good thing for us - it will make the team realise they have to be switched on from the first bounce next week if they want to avoid a hiding. The Crows were excellent today.

No - a good win doesn't mean we will necesssarily produce a good win the following week and weeks after that. Seen a false dawn too often before.

I was a bit unclear - I think the Crows might be flat, however I don't think it is necesssarily the case that yesterday was a season changing game.

I'm not a soothsayer - I can't definitively say yes or no. You are saying definitely yes, for whatever reason, and I am saying I don't see any legitimate reason why it should be.

One thing I'll add, the win in Brisbane put us back on track. Most expected us to beat the Roos in Canberra and lose to the Lions to be 2-1 after round 3. Well, we are 2-1 after round 3, but not in the expected manner.

Should we manage 5-2, we should be well placed. Let's examine the opposition:

Melbourne: St Kilda, SYDNEY (A), Fremantle (H), Adelaide (H). Tough to call. They should win two or three games. Adeliade is an unknown quantity after their surgical demolition of Port. 6-1

Kangaroos: Collingwood, Hawthorn, Adelaide (A), Port Adelaide (A). They will probably win their next two, and most likely win one Adelaide match but not both. 6-1.

West Coast: Western Bulldogs (H), Brisbane (A), SYDNEY (H), Hawthorn (A). They look really dangerous, and are a good chance to win all their games. Even Brisbane away won't bother them. 7-0

Adelaide: SYDNEY (A), Western Bulldogs (A), Kangaroos (H), Melbourne (A). They are an unknown quantity at this stage. Was their Port result an upset, are Port having a bad year, or have Adelaide improved? They should beat the Bulldogs, but the other results cannot be predicted easily. I think they will improve this year. 5-2

Richmond: Fremantle (H), St Kilda, Port Adelaide (H), Carlton. The Tigers have got their two wins against weak sides and will be found out in the next four weeks. 2-5.

All other sides have two losses already. I can't see any other side in the top four after round 7. They will have to win all four games, and by healthy margins, to break into the top four.

My expected ladder after round 7:
                        7-0 West Coast
                        6-1 Melbourne
                        6-1 Kangaroos
                        5-2 Adelaide
                        5-2 Sydney
                        then everyone else

Note that the wins won't quite add up; Adelaide, Kangaroos or Melbourne should have one extra loss between them.

A team like Hawthorn? I'm disgusted and insulted!!!

Now our ruck division is much better, so I'm not worried about Adelaide. The showdown is all about passion not class, so wont translate into any meaningful long term form. [/QUOTE]

Yes the showdown is about passion, and that makes the victory oh so sweeter....but any game should be played with passion!!

i dont know who to tip against youse lot...Both coming off fantastic wins...i think your a fool to discount us...we're a strong team, and our midfield and defence are very strong at the moment.

besides the crows following division is pretty ordinary, clarke is rubbish.

They have a great midfield, edwards, roo, mcleod, goodwin, these are four very very good players and we need to shut them down to win
