Saddo will probably go into the forwards. But Schauble will be back . . someday. LRT gave away two very clumsy frees and some of his kicking was wayward. Roos always seems to play him but on his showing at this last outing, I'm not sure why.

He did do well against Petrie last year at Manuka, but I was VERY unimpressed with his game on Sunday. He was dreadful.Comment

If LRT is to be the CHB of the future, then he should be given as much seniors experience as possible. If he gets towelled up once in a while, that will be a learning experience which he will grow from. He's not going to learn his trade, thumping the likes of Ainslie, or being played on the bench until the game is in the bag and then being moved to CHB...
Of course if he starts playing terribly week in week out, another course of action needs to be taken. I say give him another shot against the roos.I wish my weed was EMO so it would cut itselfComment

I noticed that Goodes injured himself ( or seemed to) playing accross half back in the 3rd quarter. He seemed to run it out - but for a good 5 minutes he kept strectching out his knee and rubbing it (presumably for good luck).
Last year my father shared a dinner with the Brownlow medalist, and Goodes mentioned to him that at the end of last season his knees and hammy's were so bad, that he actually couldn't stop. It didn't hurt, he physically couldn't stop himself. He also reckons he lost 15 metres off his kicking and lost significant pace in motoring around the ground.
Hope that he doesn't develop a chronic knee injury like O'Loughlin - on MMM, Micky thinks that he has finally shaken the knee injury. Time will tell...Comment

LRT seems to be overly conscious on his direct opponent. In the last quarter, they got a mark direcly in front simply because of this. He seems to follow Holland a fair bit as well.
I reckon LRT plays best when he is going for the ball. He should watch out for the ball a bit more rather than paying too much attention on his opponent movement. That probably comes from the lack of confidence and experience in the job. Give him sometime.Comment

I'm all for giving him a shot but if there is someone in the ressies more deserving of a senior position, then I'm sorry, LRT but "you snooze, you lose".Comment

I agree. However Cornes runs around on his own for the majority of games. He's hardly ever accountable and plays the 3rd man up role, which he does well. But when he actually plays on someone he generally gets beaten.Comment

LRT should be told he has his spot til...say round 10 or whenever no matter what....so he has the freedom to go and give his all without worrying about his placeTheres not much left to sayComment
