Too boo or not to boo
63Yes. I was there and booed long and loud.0%7Yes. I was watching on TV and threw my cushion/dog/child/partner at the telly.0%9No way. They had already won the game. What more do Sydney based supporters want?0%21Sigh. This is such a storm in a tea cup.0%26Occupational hazards:

I'd never boo the team ever thoughOfficial Driver Of The "Who Gives A @@@@ As The Player Will Get Delisted Anyway" Bandwagon.

I was there. I didn't boo but I didn't like the kick to kick either. It was even worse because (apart from Spider) the Hawks at that stage couldn't be bothered trying to get possession. As long as we stayed in the backline they were content to let the current score stand.
If we had been hanging on to a slim lead the k2k would have made sense, but the Hawks would also have been trying harder to break it up.
It was probably the booing the inspired Spider to actually do something about it.
The thing to remember is that it wasn't the players that were being booed but their actions (or lack of actions) at that specific moment.Comment

I'll own up.
I didnt boo so much as just moan loudly, and must say I was among the first around me to become disgruntled by the tactics.
But, having know read some of the comments, I will admit that I didnt realise that they were doing this due to the fact that they had no decent target to kick to in the forward line
Therefore, I admit I was wrong to voice my disdain at the time, but only due to the circumstances. If they were doing the same yet the forward line was not crowded as it was, then I feel I have every right to feel unhappy about such go slow tactics when not defending a slight lead.Visit my eBay store -

Could they at least have not made it so obvious by actually going backwards. I'm sure we could have found some targets at least a bit closer to goal. Even a contest would be fine if we could have found a couple where the numbers were roughly even, and no doubt there would have been a couple.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

If the Swans were down by 1 point, I bet they would have found a target in the forward line instantly.
I didn't really care either way.
1) I was happy with not only a win, but one with a high %
2) It would have pissed off the opposition supporters (if any were left at the ground at that point)
3) I knew it would be a hot topic here and it would be fun to read all the huffy comments instead of having to endure 10 different "Swans win - well done!" threadsThe difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment

watching a replay of saturday night's waratahs match, I found something quite amusing.
the crowd (including myself) booed when Shawn Berne took a field goal 10 metres out from the line with about 10 minutes to go, even though the tahs were ahead by 27 points at the time. Such crowd behaviour is common in Sydney rugby crowds (including test matches) when the tahs or the wallabies have a big lead yet still opt for the soft option taking easy points instead of trying to go for a try.
Sydney crowds may love a winner, but I think moreso than that, Sydney crowds love entertainment and style.Visit my eBay store -

the crowd was pretty good bar for the loots beside me from newcastle and i nearlly died when i heard the boooing but i don't agree with kick to kick i am there to see a football game not that time wasting stuff that some times no matter what club they do to eat up time till the siren can muck up on them as i have seen the hawks do it and pay for it dearlyComment

I only booed at the end of final term.Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.Comment

I booed. Doing that when you have a team on its knees like Hawthorn were is not on a disgrace. But I consider it unaustralian as well.
We are a team that has two jobs-to win AND to promote the great aspects of Australian Rules Football. On the 2nd point they failed dismally. They could have easily kicked 2 goals and improved their percentage in the time the two players have a kick to kick session.
When you have a team down and on their knees, GO FOR THE JUGULAR. Remember the footy we saw from the Swans' team in 1987when we pulverised both Essendon, the Eagles and Richmond in successive weeks.
I want to remember similar stuff from the team of 2005!

Anyone would think the team spent the whole of the final quarter playing kick-to-kick from some of the comments.
It was only the last couple of minutes and I doubt any team could "easily kick 2 goals" in that time, especially with the whole opposition team parked in the forward 50.Comment
