Who will come in for Doyle

    Sounds like Doyle's out,
If Micky's still out, who will come in??
Do we go for another tall??
Or do we give Demster a shot.
    Or maybe willouby.
Forget Fosdike and spriggs I say- bloody frustrating the both of them.

Sean Dempster, this is your time to shine son!!
If not, you would think that it would be Saddo going by reports from the Ressies.

My guess - Spriggs. Roos will want the extra leg speed, because the Roos are nothing if not quick in the midfield.
        We hate Anthony Rocca
        We hate Shannon Grant too
        We hate scumbag Gaspar

It is going to be very warm too. Spriggs is known to be very fit. Could be a factor to be considered (I'm serious).

Regarding the Shinboners I went to see Carlton/North last weekend (desperate for live footy!) and I think the reviews were overly complimentary.

Carllton were hopeless but were in touch most of the day.

It was a very poorly skilled game in perfect conditions, and Manuka aside we really should pump North.

The raving about Leigh Brown's performance did not seem to mention the terrible forward set up of Carlton.
Sports do not build character. They reveal it....Heywood Broun

I always turn to the sports pages first, which record people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures......Earl Warren

It would depend on if Roos wants another tall or not.

If he does, then you'd think Dempster deserves a go, since Saddo probably needs another week or two in the ressies.

Otherwise a toss up between Spriggs and Fosdike, based on them being the emergencies last week. Out of these two, who was better last week in the ressies?

I dont think the Kangas talls are too much to worry about, so a midfielder with run is more likely.

This may be seen as the ideal time to debut Spriggs for the Swans, as there is less pressure and less to lose. It may be that some confidence is all he needs, so showing it by selecting him may be the go.

Put Spriggs on Wells and see how far they can run then.

Why is there less pressure and less to lose?

Anyhow, my guess is Spriggs as well. Roos said that he and Dempster were very unlucky to miss out last week, and like others have mentioned, the Kangas have a strong midfield.

I hope you're right . . . we don't want to get sucked into trying to match the Roos for height. Speed into the forward 50 is what will win the game.

Mind you, if we can shut-down Harvey and Grant it would help.

A performance like we put on at Manuka last year would do just nicely thanks. Hopefully without the 5 goal start this time....
