Last week was whenever we tried to do this we seemed to:

Handball to a runner under pressure or
Have a handball intercepted or
Misdirect the handball so the receiver had to stop/stoop or
Stuff up the kick into the forward line.

Some turnovers were due to pressure by the North midfielders , but most were due to plain bad execution.

It's the older players in Nicks, Ball and Maxfield (I was WRONG) who should only be dropped, as there minds are willing but there bodies are not up to it any longer.

I can't see what the addition of new and inexperienced players such as Malceski, Moore, Schmidt and Dempster for talented youngsters such as Kennelly, Bevan, McVeigh and Schneider would benefit the Sydney Swans but set them back another 5-6 season in planning. One bad game of inaccurate kicking and bad disposal coupled with being bought down to the Kangaroos abilities level doesn't maketh a season finished....

The Blues of 1995 lost two games to middle of the table teams (Sydney & St.Kilda) in the early part of the season before cruising to the flag - although I am not saying that we are as good as that Carlton team but we should/could give the flag a shake this season along with four or five other teams....

Obviously you have only ever seen the swans play one game going by your quotes. Kennelly and Schneider have not had a good game for a while, Bevan has been ok, but lacks a little in skill department and as for McVeigh I stated that he would be a possible exception to being dropped.
As far as the older guys you mentioned, if you look at the side I named I have dropped Nicks and Maxfield, I kept Ball in only because Doyle is injured and Jolly can't be expected to ruck the entire game.
Now for you most ridiculous statement of all

The time is NOW, not another bl**dy 5-6 seasons, for this football club to win a flag....

If you believe that the side that lined up on Saturday can win this years Grand Final, you are dillusional. There has to be changes, by blooding youngsters does not mean you have to wait 5 or 6 years, if they are any good it can happen in 2 years.

Yes we look better Cressakel, problem is though that all teams now play a significant number of players behind the ball and to just kick it long to a 3/4 on 2 contest is not going to get us anywhere.

You only have to look at the game on the weekend to know this. In order for North to beat our numbers behind the ball they waited patiently with the ball chipped it sideways and backwards and wore us down until gaps opened up. They were then able to get the ball into the hands of proven goal kickers (Grant).

This is exactly our game plan, the only difference being that as the game went longer our skills dropped away faster. Carlton are currently using the same game plan to very good effect.

You are correct about Kennelly and Schneider not having good games for a while, as the season is only two Rounds old and the Semi-Final against St.Kilda and the games before that was a "while" ago.....

The team on Saturday won't win the GF this season, as the team didn't include O'Loughlin, Saddington, Schauble and maybe "Donkey" Doyle.

Very good observation. Schneider should be moving back to FP. Perhaps, Schneider was moved to the midfield due to the (lack of) performance by our front-line midfielders. He is still a developing player anyway. Move him back to his more familiar position and see how he goes from there. Not all players can be fast-tracked.

In most of the games I have seen in the last 2 weeks, this seems to be the norm for most teams.

He doesn't really exsist. He is just a construct of our collective imaginations.
The Swans are on a course of failer that no coach can ever have any effect on.
The club is the titanic of the AFL, extreamly expensive and grandios, rather showy and invested in by all the power brokers of the day.
But it is a sinking ship.
Like Big Brother- Paul Roos is a constructed identity to make the passengers feel less afraid as their worst fears are materialised.

I agree Ajn, I thought Nicks was Ok and made 1 really bad mistake which stood out. LRT didnt do much and looks bewildered when he occassionally marks and has to take his kick. Schneider needs at least 2 in the reserves to find form.

Dempster and Spriggs are the obvious replacements.
