That's about all it's better than! And that's not particularly hard.

I think regardless of the game plan, the Swans would have looked ugly last week. When you kick 17 behinds and pass the opposition the sherrin you are going to look like a pack of hacks.
I remember a (league) Sharks V Broncos game way back in the day before I became enlightened where the perennial chokers from the Shire beat the best team in the competition by about 50 points. That day King Wally passed the ball directly to a Sharks player. All he could do was shake his head and smile.
The game on the weekend was the worst I've seen the Swans play since that ugly win against Freo at the SCG under Eade. That day both teams look shocking. I don't think the Kangas would say they played well on the weekend either but they walked away with the 4 points.
As Roos says, the team is meant to be playing the same game plan that delivered those exciting wins against the Saints, West Coast and the Lions previously....
I hope Roosy has taken a look at the wet weather game plan. When the weather becomes ugly, our chances of winning diminish just as greatly.
When rain is forecast for our game the following weekend, I would love to see Roosy give the guys a wet-weather training session. Use the oldest footballs one can find, cover them in slippery, greasy mud, and practice wet-weather skills like kicking the ball off the ground and marking a wet footy. The skills are quite different, and unless the players are exposed to them under controlled conditions (training), we will be awful when they happen for real.

I don't think it is the wet weather game plan that is the problem, it is the players skills in wet weather and the ability to execute the game plan in the wet that is the problem.
We are not the most skillful side in comp and IMHO wet weather only shows up poor foot skills even more.
The only way to combat that is to turn the list over slowely to acquire some players with great foot skills and work on the players that you have, although by the time they hit AFL level in all likelyhood you are not going to be able to improve their skills to much due to the bad habits learnt in younger years.

And yet the highly vaunted WC midfield completely disintegrates in the wet.
