2004 - I am an optimist. Winning a final three years in a row isn't something that the Swans have done since 1933-1936.

Amazing, the poll's all of three minutes old and five votes already....

1918's is hardly possible because of the round 2 shocker. 1933 is more apt (and more recent) because in 1933 the Swans started off slowly (4/5 and 8th/12 after nine rounds) and then won every game for the rest of the season. Now that is a season I would love to emulate.

Besides, I thought I could only post 10 poll options.

From what I've seen so far, 2004.

Good team could beat anyone on any day but still lacking something to go all the way.

I was going to vote '97, but as that option wasn't available, I'd say '01 or '04.

Make finals and lose first or second.

A bit of enlightenment for the options:
1933 - we win the flag, obviously.
1996 - we make the Grand Final but lose it
2003 - We make the preliminary final but lose it
2004 - We win our way to a semi-final but lose it. Finish 5th-8th, win first final, lose second
                      1987 - Finish 1st-4th, lose both finals
                      2001 - Finish 5th-8th, lose first final
                      2002 - Finish 9th or 10th
                      1995 - Finish 11th or 12th
1994 - I chose the wrong year here. I wanted a year where we finish 13th or 14th (not in the bottom two)
1993 - We have a season so bad we get priority picks. Self explanatory.

The journey is unimportant, it's the end of season finish plus finals results that is the topic of the poll.

i fear this season is going to be like last season,

but its very early yet and there is still a long way to go.
Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.

1997 was such a rubbish year, i felt let down, i guess i expected we might win the flag after 1996
