I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I thought he was OK down back and did his bit in the tight first half. Possessions sometimes in the close in contests are not the be all and end all of performance.
hence my comment on body position

Compare that to Dempster last night when he backed himself, made a couple of blues but looked to have a footy brain. Even when he rushed that ball he looked cool and calm.
OK lets compare apples and oranges shall we? Dempster has probably played football since he was 9-11 years of age. LRT has probably only played 3 or 4 years. There's the difference in that analogy. Is it fair?

Actually given that the "Pornstar" was also crapping on Jude Bolton I think it's the post and the poster thats the joke.

I think my comment was a little over the top

Get a grip. There's guys in FNQ who have never even seen a game, maybe we should give them a run just to be fair.

All will conceed that Mal Micheal and Martin Pike are better players than LRT is currently.

But LRT sacrificed his own game to take both of them out of the game at various points last weekend, so a net win to us.

With LRT's ability to go forward or back, our side has looked a lot more balanced with him in it... for the last 2 years.

Good work Lewy. Dont worry about the knockers.

And are far closer to the end of their careers than the beginning (and probably the middle too)

I can't think of a player that hasn't been trashed on this board at some time in their careers!

If only W. Carey had listened to that advice he would be a better human being.

Michael's only 27, so probably just a year or two past the middle.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

No, well over midway. He debutted at 20 (I'm sure you have the exact date at your fingertips) he's now 27, he retires at 29 after a freak accident involving 6 D-cell batteries, a 4 gallon drum of KY jelly, a pair of Penguins liberated from Seaworld and Leigh Matthew's evil twin sister.

Actually I was more referring to Pike.

Aaah ive been waiting for this topic to come up, where do you get a 4 gallon drum of KY jelly?

One would think this has to be his last year.

                              We all know Mal Michael.

Who was on Plugger when he kicked his 1300th? Mal.

He was dead set the worst key defender in the league at the time. Now look at him. He was given time and now he is one of the top 2 fullbacks in the comp.

When we get Magic (full forward) and shauble (full back) into our side, suddenly there's two of the opposition's better talls that will be kept busy. The LRT gets to learn his craft playing on other, far easier opponents. Until then, he is thrown in the deep end with little option for his replacement.

I remeber that clearly. It's always amazed me how this skinny kid from Collingwoord who could barely cover Pluggers shadow on that day has become such a good defender.

So I think the Swans wouldn't be wasting their time with him if they didn't think he had potential.
