i think roos had to have his captain on in that last quarter, he had to let maxfield out there, and i think he was quite good. He was a good physical presence for the team and got the ball, was a little wasteful (for him because over the years he has set a high standard) but for the first time in a while i think he showed he can still play and offer the team something
He looked terrible to me. Several kicks out on the full, two 50s given away and nowhere to be seen during the late charge. Combine that with his first two games, and I really can't see how he is part of our best 22.

Watch it again.
He made mistakes during the game but don't see how you can say he didn't have any impact during that final quarter.
Even in the third quarter it was Maxfield who was the first to get really fired up and show some mongrel. Some of it backfired on him but I reckon it was a factor in waking the rest of the team from their slumber.
I agree with liz, he was very aggressive in the last quarter. I was even a bit afraid he might again do something stupid giv ing free kicks and 50m penalties away.
I agree Maxfield has the mongrel in him and was fired up last night especially when the ball was touched at Brisbane's end he was calling the guys to come down and move quickly.
He is hard at the ball still and that is a good example.
I presume we are putting EVERYONE who has three bad games in a row in the twos?
We certainly should win the ACT Comp but not much else.
Why no mention of LRT (appalling) ROK ('good looking' but moderate this year so far), Schneider should have his contract torn up immediately, Barry Hall was looking down the barrel until the 4th quarter last night and so on.
Maxfield appears out of sorts, but come on who hasn't so far this year in our (very) mixed three performances.

Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.
Hall was good but the ball never got to him. There were five Inside 50s inthe second quarter!!!
I still think Maxfield is barely going and the only thing preventing early retirement (a la Schwatta) is the captaincy and the prospect of 300 games.
