He is. This is what coaching is.

When was the last time a team played flawless footy, executed the game plan perfectly, had no skill errors and got a really fair run from the umpires.... and still lost?

When that happens, you may finally get your wish. Until then, coaches will find reasons (or excuses if you are being cynical) for the loss, and rarely will they admit it was solely their fault. Well unless they do it as they walk out on the club in resignation.

I am not suggesting it is all Roos. Roos is happy to criticize the players publicly for their poor efforts, i jsut believe would be less hypocritical if he once in a while mentioned that the strategy he told them to employ were flawed, ie share the blame. THe coach is part of the team, when u have ur coach criticizing you as a player ud be thinking "well were in it together so itd be nice if ud at least mention you had an off day as well.."

As i said, im not calling for Roos head at all. Just like to seem him acknowledge that he plays a major role in whether we win or lose. Its great that he went on ABC radio and mentioned he was partly responsible, but lets see it on the swans website and other areas where it is more accessible to the public; rather than bagging out the players form and belting out excuses on every highly public forum available, yet saving his criticism of himself for a one off interview that most of us wont hear.

Well we wont really ever know what he says behind close doors. The players get along with him really well (have a look at the footage after the bris game) so I doubt he bags them in private.

In losing a game both coach and players can be held accountable. (as well as weather, unlucky socks, friends, family, dog etc).

Yes Roos may have a flawed game plan but also responsible for that are the strategists and back-seat coaches that work with him. If he is critical of the players then he is for a reason. They practice all week, watch videos and work out ways to win over the next week?s opponents. If a game doesn?t go to plan because it?s the players? fault ? you can only blame them. They are professional and it?s up to them to make the right decisions, skills and play without error. Hence we bag out particular players for having a shocking game (and praise those that play well). I understand your point that the coach should take responsibility but I?m sure he does.
