OUT: Gameplan based on flooding, stoppages and negative football.
IN: Gameplan based on long kicks through the middle, direct play into the forward line and manning up when the opposition have the ball.

      If only!

That requires players who can kick long and find a target with relative consistency...

I just love watching the Eagles play. They get the hormones pumping. I'll be there at York Park to see them thrash Hawthorn. Due to my eldest daughter being an Eagles fan and my brother working on the Cocos Islands(part of the Western Australian Education Dept. hence Eagles, Dockers fans) I spend alot of time looking at those teams and I'll be baracking for them come finals time if I haven't slit my wrists by then due to the pessimism of this board.
I don't conceive that we will beat them but I still love my Swannies.

Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.

Your determination, your tenacity and your under-rated skill is why you have become my favourite player!

Nova, today, described Brisbanes major loss to West Coast Eagles like this: "WCE shilacked Brisbane."

Matthews only played 3 quarters last night anyway - he hurt his ankle - not sure if he'll be right for next week.

If Malceski plays - Swans to win
If Malceski doesn't - Swans to lose

Who knows what's going to happen? All i know is i am glad there is an off button on the remote if the game becomes to unbearable.

                  Changes hopefully are:

                  In: Malceski, Maxfield, Schauble
                  Out: Buchanan Bevan, LRT

Goodes back in the ruck. (Roos has to swallow his pride on this one.)

Interesting no one has mentioned Saddington so far as a possible replacement.

Without knowing to much about the form of players in the reserves (it's hard to know from Melbourne) I would do the following:

                    Out: Bevan, Buchanen, LRT, Matthews
                    In: Schuable, Maxfield, Saddington, Malceski

While most may think it's a negative this week playing away and on such a large ground I reckon it could not have come at a better time.

It will be good for the team to get away from home and the pressure of coming up after a loss when expecting to win at home. Also the extra space that Subi offers will also mean if West Coast don't close the game down we will at least have more room to improve our foot skills something which has been hard to do on the small SCG.

That's because Saddington didn't play in the reserves, and I can only assume its due to injury and hence unavailable. Otherwise yes, I would bring him back in.

Thanks Ugg, being in Melbourne I don't get to see any of the reserves.

Maybe it is just a bit of general soreness? After a year off and a couple of games the body can really feel it while it adjusts to week to week footy.

I heard on the radio that the new Pope said that Swans fans attending the game are up for sainthood.

Hopefully the extra space of Subi will help us out. It will be interesting to see how the Forwards play with some extra space. I would just love to see Hall and MOL lead up the corridor not out on the boundary line!

Bevan may not have the best skills, but he at least has a red hot go, which does not apply to many at present. He should stay in before Schneider who looks finished for mine, the sensible haircut may not save his career, it may just be a place in the Muppets.

Hopefully Sadds is fit enough for LRT.

On form, you would drop most of them from Saturday, it won't obviously happen, WCE were frightening yesterday but who knows?

I seem to recall a win against the odds over there in the late 90s with Roos in the team..
