If you were Schaubs you'd wonder why you were an emergency anyway, seems odd to me!

Moore and Malceski aren't going to replace Jolly and Schaubs is not a ruckman....if he is fit why wouldn't he play anyway?

Good to see Malceski on the possibles - only seen him play twice - thats enough for me - he will be ok - barring injuries.

Ericksen might get a game next week - when LRT gets injured - as Goodesy will never play ruck - BS IMHO.

Maybe we'll stage a Paul Kelly-comeback type manouevre and sneak someone onto the bench.

If I was Josh Willoughby at the moment, I would be think the senior side is a boys own club that you need some sort of membership to brake into.
As I have eluded to in previous threads, my best mate in Adelaide lives up the road from the Willoughby's and from what they say he is carrying an injury at present.

While it's not stopping him playing for the ressies he won't be picked for the seniors until he can prove he is fully fit. Mate also says the parents told him that he was loving it in Sydney and they are looking forward to seeing him debut sometime latter the in the year.

I still cant see why they bothered appealing Jolly's ban. We're no chance of beating the Eagles, and with Jolly out next week, we are gonna struggle for talls against the Bombers, even if Ball is fit to come back. You need more than just 1 proper ruckman in the team.

Bevan has bee absolutely shocking this year, yet he is rewarded by promotion from the bench (albeit in just the side on paper, but it still is something, especially when it seems to make sense to have Davis on the HFF instead).

I would put money on the fact that we dont see Kennelly play in the midfield on Saturday night, despite Roos saying otherwise, based on how everything else seems to be going.

I'm getting a little sick of all this crap from my club. I want to see some hard decisions.
Since when do we worry about how the sides are placed on paper.

Would not surprise me that the Swans just fax down the list of players in the team and emergencies to the AFL by 6.00pm EST and the AFL then have some fun making the team up

Whats the point of having Schaubs as an emg.? at all i mean all that does, is make him miss a game of ressies if he doesn't play and if he does, why not just name him. Please don't tell me Roos is turning into Sheedy

In answer to my question of who might replace Jolly?

Asked if Schauble would be the replacement if Jolly's appeal was unsuccessful, Roos said: "I would think so."
This would most likely mean that without Jolly, Lewis Roberts-Thomson would move from defence to the ruck, with Schauble moving to the backline.
Our back line is looking stronger already. Like having someone who knows where to find the ball.

I like Williams' quote on what is wrong with our midfield...decision making

"Whether it be 'I'm hot and I need to kick it' or 'I can run it out of the stoppage at hand', we know we have to clean up in that area."

That's where MacLean was spectacular last week. We don't expect it every stoppage but it was sickeneing to see only the other side bursting outof a stoppage ball in hand and breaking the game open.

Whine, whine, whine, "Why can't we have one of those midfielders, mummy?? All the other teams have got one, I want one too; I'll scream and scream and scream until I get one, mummy!"
"I'll acknowledge there are more talented teams in the competition but I won't acknowledge that there is a better team in the competition" Paul Roos March 2005

A forced omission though, not dropped, as most have called for.

I would suggest that this is not a good week to blood any youngsters. It also serves as a chance for many of our players who have disappointed this year to give it a real hot go.
