Umpiring was ordinary, but why even bother commenting on it - it's the least of our troubles and actually completely irrelevant at the moment.

Wouldn't say irrelevant as the Umps are part of the game

but definitely the least of the worries for Sydney

Well, that was probably not worse than I expected, sadly enough.

I want to play someone really, REALLY bad so we can win for a change. I think we're only even money up against a mediocre team at the moment

        Long, cold winter, guys...

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

12 touches for Maxfield with half our midfield gone, Kennelly down once again, nothing from Schneider, O'Loughlin and Schauble totally unfit...this is looking like a long season.

Calm down, it's only a game mate and there is always next week. It's only the first half of the year and in the past, we have had a better second half than start to a season. In some of these cases, we have made the finals.

Harsh to single out Maxfield, there were some absolute shockers tonight. But there was just no one to kick it to, no running, no support it was absolutely terrible.

We made 90 tackles tonight which is unheard of, but it just illustrates that we were second to the ball the whole night. ame plan has to change.

Yep, it is only a game thank god - there are definitely more important things to worry about than football. But seeing as it makes up a large chunk of my leisure team, I'd at least like my team to play decent football and not turn that aforementioned leisure time into some masochistic experience which is currently is.

I agree it time for a clean out.

                          But...
LRT played well. Did some great spoils. He really has a future if you look at the little things he does. Needs polish and poise, but that will come with age. Big men dont peak until late 20's.

MOL - Should have been traded to Adelaide the year his tendonitis got cronic. He's currently a liability and should be in the 2's getting match hardened.

Goodes- needs to part-time ruck with Jolly.

                          Maxfield - Retire

Ablett - let him attack the footy, not tag.

Scneider - play him in defense to replace crouch

Crouch - one of my pet-hate players. How can a "fringe" player like him play 1273 games on the trot. I'll tell you why, by not putting his body on the line and doing the hard things. We have too many taggers, and we need to get rid of them. Must be dropped, and only return when he is 110% fit.

Kirk - Must take the best opposition player. Why wasnt he on cousins all game ???

I could go on, and probably will later.

But most importantly. Roos must be put on notice that his style wont be tolerated.

At least half of the guys would get some confidence out of A win

Des. we've already played (until tonight) the two bottom teams. Might have a chance against Collingwood and Essendon.

Flicking to Brisbane/Essendon match at least gave some footy viewing pleasure. Johathan Brown was back to his awesome best.

Didn't make a difference, but some of the umpiring decisions were very ordinary. Won't go on about skills (or lack of), also seems like our confidence is shot.
