Flicking to Brisbane/Essendon match at least gave some footy viewing pleasure. Johathan Brown was back to his awesome best.

Didn't make a difference, but some of the umpiring decisions were very ordinary. Won't go on about skills (or lack of), also seems like our confidence is shot.

LRT played well. Did some great spoils. He really has a future if you look at the little things he does. Needs polish and poise, but that will come with age. Big men dont peak until late 20's.

MOL - Should have been traded to Adelaide the year his tendonitis got cronic. He's currently a liability and should be in the 2's getting match hardened.

LRT played well? Playing well is not just spoiling. Its about kicking to your own team mates and not holding up the ball in the defensive 50 and losing possession of the ball!!!

MOL - should have been traded a long time ago - i agree with you Barry. Spent too much time acting and not enough time taking marks and converting them.
I agree with guzzitza earlier - MAXFIELD GET OFF. In the third qtr i think it was he kicked it to west coast 4 times in a row, and thats following a kick out on the full when there was an open goal square! What the hell was that! Thats not leadership! Give the leadership to kirk - consistently good, consistently goes for the footy, consistently plays hard. O'keef played well tonight too - until Roos took him off. What the? Why take the best player on our side at that point off?

Whether LRT has a future is somewhat academic, at least while we have such a paucity of able-bodied big men.

Crouch - one of my pet-hate players. How can a "fringe" player like him play 1273 games on the trot. I'll tell you why, by not putting his body on the line and doing the hard things. We have too many taggers, and we need to get rid of them. Must be dropped, and only return when he is 110% fit.

Crouchy doesn't do the hard things? Complete and utter tripe.

Kirk - Must take the best opposition player. Why wasnt he on cousins all game ???

He will. Its not always apparent on TV, but live you can see he takes his man out of the play. All thats required of a young defender at the moment.

When was the last time MOL's body lasted a whole season. He's one of the reason we limp into finals campains.

I knew that would rile a few people. But I stand by it. It is a shame that a record of consecutive games that was once held by the likes of Jimmy Stynes ( a champion) is now held by Crouch (a mildly annoying back pocket). Records dont belong to people who play safe.

It doesn't. Stynes still has it by a mile, and even Yze is ahead of Crouch at this stage (and still going).

Crouchy just has most "since debut", but its a trivial point.

I thought he started poorly but finished strong. Hopefully this continues.

Not really sure why so many are devastated we lost. Most of us had it pencilled in as a loss before the season even started, and even more stated as much during the week. The toughest test comes over the next three weeks, where we play some of the weaker sides and all of them at home. If we can string three wins together the season is back in the balance, but drop ANY and we can start scouting the draft potentials.

1) It was equivalent to 100 point loss in the dry.
2) Game plan of playing a loose man in defense and prolonged flooding when we were 40 points down in the 3/4. What were you doing roosy, playing for %'age ?
3) All our midfielders tagging. Therefore being 2nd to the ball, having to make a tackle, and therefore having decisions go agains them.
4) Forwards not creating opportunities.

Fair enough. Point two pissed me off too, especially when Captain Clanger was the one picking up the loose ball... only to return it to them straight away.

Some of the silly decision-making was disappointing, but thats to be expected from a team with low confidence.

Our forward line isnt worth a piece of @@@@. I'm too tired to say anything else right now. It was pretty much the rubbish I have now come to expect from them.

I would put money on the fact that Roosy wont be making any rash changes for next week. He will use the excuse that the Weagles are so good to hide away from the fact that we stink.

Soul searching will only begin after we lose to a couple of bad teams. It is wrong that this is what will happen, but that is how the swans are functioning at the moment. They are deluding themselves.
