It's a positive that it's now Sunday and the game was yesterday and we'll never have to see it again (until we see the same thing happen this week... oops found another negative...).

Why oh why will Roos not face up to the obvious? Goodes is an ON-BALLER. And just happened to win a Brownlow medal as an ON-BALLER.

I've been saying use him as a ruck rover/follower for over a year now. He doesn't really win the taps, but he's great at roving the ball. I think he can do that from a ruck roving position in the centre and then some ruck around the ground.

My report card for the game:

            Kirk - high pass
            Boltonj - pass
Davis - high pass - but why was he off the ground for 25 minutes when he was always in the thick of things when on the ground.
Ablett - pass - admirable given he had the hardest gig in the comp.
Crouch - fail (45%)- has lost hardness and running - kicking was atrocious. First half awful but redeemed himself somewhat in second half. Was tagging again but failed due to poor disposal.
            Goodes - high pass
            O'Keefe - high pass
            BoltonC - just a pass
            Hall - high pass
Barry - pass - under incredible pressure all night.
Maxfield - fail (30%)- too many kicks to opponents - any chance of a pass was lost when he sprayed shot for goal. Why didn't he take a couple more steps to steady, he was clear but just blazed away. Probably finished at top level.
Nicks - fail (40%)- Matera towelled him up. Time to draw the pension. Mistake ridden season, probably keeps his place through lack of depth and a few others who are way behind him.
Bevan - low fail (20% only because he was on the ground) - better suited to rugby. No nous, vision or perception of how to play the game. Got one long kick in, in junk time. Horrible effort.
Buchanan - fail (10%) - reserves player. Disgraceful kick with his only one for the night. Falls over and can't play. In hindsight should have stayed on rookie list or as top up player for reserves.
Kennelly - fail - (45%) - too many mistakes. Playing in the midfield for some time but made same mistakes as he usually does.
O'Loughlin - fail - (40%) will he ever kick another goal. Not all his fault. Delivery shocking.
Spriggs - pass - (50%) Not much time on the ball. Since when did we recruit him as a tagger.
Dempster - pass - the only thing to come out of the game. He could be a genuine midfielder. Has skill, keeps his feet, can kick can run, and finds the ball. Hello, is there anyone home in the coaches box.
Schneider - fail (10%) - dunce of the class - has nothing to offer. Scared, won't chase, can't kick. Dropped and delisted is the only avenue with this pretender.
McVeigh - fail - (35%) Not given much chance but showed last night he doesn't like it tough.
LRT - pass - showed something - guts. Leave at CHB.
Schauble - fail -unfit and old beyond his years - knocked off the ball for a goal - too easy. may come good with game time but looking down the barrel

The coach - only 4 players were not rotated. Are we over rating the coach.

              Pretty reasonable summation.

If you want to find some positives, don't read the papers today. Our team is an embarrassment.

Why is it so many players in our side can't kick - Buchanan, Spriggs, LRT, Crouch, Mathews...

And then there are the ones who do not look where they are kicking - Kennelly, Maxfield, Bevan...

                1. I tipped WCE
                2. Ryan didn't play bad - he nearly took a bloody good mark
                3. I would've got to see the game anyway because we have Fox - I was at a pub
                4. We lost under 50pts - I don't know what that means
                5. If we'd won, we won't be on a high for next week

A 10 goal loss sucks, aye.

Not me, I want him to be sacked before he wasts to much more of my precious time.

Well said. I have been saying this for two years. He is at his most damaging when oppositions don't know or can't man up on him because of his height and agility. Why take this advantage away from us??

                          Opposition coaches must be laughing.

Yeah, but at least you won the flag last year. I could take 10 years crap if we could just win it once.

The reason why goodes ended up being swamped in the ruck by cox was because the umpires wouldn't even let Goodes contest the ruck! It was almost bullying tactics by the umpires against Goodes in the ruck. Crucifiction of a player at it's best.

Goodes can't compete effectively in the centre bounce now because he needs a run up, which he won't get.
