    Ins and Outs

With the team named tomorrow, we know that Moore will get his first dig in a senior gernsey. But will there be any other changes? Will the same 2 players be ommitted as Roos had planned before Ball was ruled out? If so, would Nick Malceski come in? Two debutants in the one game?
Who will be cut? Schneider? Mcveigh?
I hope its Schneider, he really needs to get his act together, or he may become some serious trae bait... God i want Del Santo!!

I hope Schneider or Buchanon, but in reality it might be McVeigh.

Also, it would be good to see Campbell in , purely as a ruckman. People on Bomberblitz gave him a good rap from his Bendigo days last year.

Didn't Saddo say he was planning on returning this week?

So two young players can't hack it. Bring in the next two. All grist to the mill.

Bevan and Buchanen are out of form, when young players are out of form they are usually dropped.

Who else should drop if not those two?

So who do you bring then if Buchanan and Bevan are dropped??? I take it you have two better options in mind who are older as well.

I think that could be reasonable idea, and certainly possible wrt the latter, but I think it unlikely to happen wrt the former unless he is injured.

I would give Nicks and LRT a run in the twos and rest Maxfield and Crouch (if they are injured [I happen to think they are] or play them in the twos if they are just out of form). Bring back Saddo, Ball (he's good to go, isn't he?) and a couple of juniors. I would move Roos out of the box and back to CHB.

My comment was not down on bringing kids in but rather on dropping kids. I would have thought that was obvious. Everyone bitches that we don't give kids a chance then continually crucifies the youngest players on the senior team (Bevan, Buchanan, LRT, Schneider). I would have thought that going into the seniors then being dropped back to the magoos would be even more soul destroying than not being raised to the seniors at all.

Everyone says that Moore is an absolute star in the reserves. What if he comes to the seniors and plays terribly? After all, someone pointed out that LRT has starred in the reserves. I'm guessing that the coaches have to work out when and how to bring the juniors onto the seniors to their best advantage. I expect that the aim is to give the young player a chance to adjust to going up to an altogether higher standard of play. And there's a fair chance that we are sticking with older senior players who aren't going well because there is noone ready to take the step up. I don't know who should be next because I don't see them at every practice and talk to them after every game. Do you?

If Moore plays this weekend and has a blinder I'd be overjoyed. (So will OldRoyBoy!) But if he merely looks like a competent part of the team that'd be good, too.

Moore is different to LRT - he actually knows how to play the game! LRT is mainly in the team for his height.

I *hope* he is given at least 50% game time to prove himself. I am confident he will make it even though I have only seen him play once or twice. He is a 'born' footballer.

Nicks won't be dropped but Bevan, Schneider and Buchanan are all in the gun I reckon.

If Saddo is fit then I'd play him - he would be handy on say Bolton as we have to cover Lloyd and Lucas and possibly Hille/Laycock/Allan.
