I was happy with the four points tonight.
I was impressed with Voges, Moore, Monty(def played like he wanted to keep his spot in the team), Crouch played his best game of the season and kenelly provided lots of run.

Lots of positives to come out of tonights match.
Still over possess the ball abit.

If those quick burst of Kennelly were in the midfield it would end up with the ball in our 50 more often.

Move him into the center I say.

He was quite good in the first quarter, but struggled to give much drive after that. Again, he needs to moved into the midfield.

We have to use Crouch as an offensive midfielder from now on...pace to burn and seems to be back to 100% fitness.

I'm glad we were more direct today but Mathews and Bevan really tear my hair out with that criss cross look for a handpass motion.

Spriggs was rubbish, and Bucky made the most of his 2nd chance in the side. His second efforts were second to none.

I think it's a feeling of relief rather than joy because of all the missed opportunities we had. Still can't believe how many posters we had.

Tadhg had a shocker, McVeigh gave him the runaround. In addition, two of his turnovers led to Essendon goals in the 3rd quarter. Agree with the idea of moving him to midfield, he just needs to play without the pressure of having to closely mark a forward.

Cant see him being moved from defense until we have someone to cover him. That being the case, it looks like we'd have to run a very inexperienced defense, to be able to release kennelly up field. (But, I suppose Saddington could cover for him)

Yeah they were pretty bad. I also thought that about Kirk's possessions. It will be a tough call to decide between Kirk and Spriggs for Jolly.

If Ball is fit for next week, then Vogels will have to make way (LRT making way for Jolly first). We can't have too many talls in the team. At one stage tonight we had a forward line of Hall, O'Loughlin, Vogels, Goodes and Schauble with Moore as the crumber. That's one of the tallest Swans forward lines I've ever seen.

Our defense was pretty effective tonight. Straight kicking by the bombers is the only reason it wasnt a 40 points shalacking.

He is short all right and he is often in the clear, so when was the last time he hit a target.

If he sometimes goes the long option which isn't long for him then he must be going the short option. So when he goes the short option he doesn't clear an opposition player. He also plays "short" because he is short.

So most things he does has a lot to do with short and he gives it over to the opposition because he can't kick over their head even if the opposition player is short.

                          So why play him?
Maybe he should try playing in jeans and get rid of this short stigma?

Got home from the game about 30 mins ago. Great to watch a big last quarter and a come from behind 6 point win but relieved rather than overjoyed about winning. Crowd rising as one throwing arms in the air when the final siren sounded was a great moment.

Bloody Spriggs!! Does he not realise that he is suppose to kick or handpass to a Swans player. Surely he has been in the team long enough now to recognise a Swans jumper! He's good at getting the ball but his disosal is so poor and so consistently went to Bombers players that I expect to see him on the Bombers Best Players list. They must drop him as he is a huge liability.

Six bloody posters! Sydney's forwards needs to take note of where the Essendon forwards were marking the ball - rarely at a sharp angle to goal.

What happened to Maxfield? How bad is Davis (I assume it was a hamstring)?

Time for bed. At least I'm in a good mood for the rest of the weekend. I wonder how they're feeling in Brisbane? he he he
