Make an effort to watch his kicking during a game. It is just atrocious, especially on the run. Alot of them do not even look like drop punts. even when on a set shot he has this laboured hook to his kicks.

He is doing nothing for the team except make dumb panicked handballs to players in worse positions than him.

He is a dumb acquistion and will do little for our team. I have had a taste for the talent of the young pups. I'd like to see if Malceski and Willoughy are up to it.

No worse than they are at Windy Hill I think there Cruiser. I'd like to know how the ever-so cocky Essendon ferals are coping witgh their team destined to be near the bottom and out of the finals for the first time in ages. What is the bet that they will start looking for Sheedy's head?

You can't say anything but that the league is tantalisingly different this season. Glamour teams Essendon Collingwood and Brisbane are mere remnants of their former selves, whilst young exciting teams like St Kilda and Geelong are leading the way, playing bloody good football in the process.

You have my full unqualified support.

Except I want Mathews and Crouch out too. Several times they had the pill and kicked it further up than across. And without too much pressure. Willo & Davis ...that'd look grand.

        Spriggs disposal is TERRIBLE.

Not going to go too far to defend him as his disposal by foot is poor, but...

in all fairness to Spriggs with the I50s (seemed there were a few) of his that went straight to a Bombers defender- we didn't exactly have a heap of forwards making leads for him.

He does at least seem to be able to find the pill in traffic and I think his skills by hand are okay, we just don't have people making good position outside stoppages.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Our forwards are so unused to us getting hands to ball they dont lead

I reckon the last quarter was much more attacking because we expected to win the clearances and set up a much more structured forward line. This level of confidence is what has to be replicated each week.

Nice to finally win! The 2nd and 3rd quarters were painful, but I'm starting to think that perhaps Roos is getting the whole LRT is not a footballer, seeing as he was on the bench the whole last quarter! And that's when we won!

Spriggs should not be in the team over McVeigh. LRT should not be in the team over anyone, and Davis should not have played if his friggin' hamstring was not right!

Thought Saddo had a decent game - he seemed to be in the right place much of the time, but his disposal let him down. I saw him punch in the backline at one stage (!)

Crouchie seemed to get the pill in open space a bit tonight which is kind of unusual. The only problem was that so did his opponent, and Lovett has same pace to burn. I don't think anyone managed to catch him until Crouchie did in the last quarter, thank god.

O'Keefe was outplayed, Mickey was okay, Hall was better and thankyou Leo Barry!

Another frustrating game. Even in the fourth quarter there were two different swans teams out there. Glad to win (and thank god we beat Essendon)... I guess the dons kicking kept them in the game.

The forward structure goes from crap to great. I thought we were best with Vogels presenting at HF, Hall closer to goals with O'laughlin and Moore at his feet to try and make some magic. Vogels did some good things and Roos moves him to FF which I thought was silly. Were Vogels and Moore the difference? And why not have a crumber in the forward line for the whole game? Silly...

LRT. I have gone from supporting him to wondering why he just doesn't keep his apprentiship in the Reserves. Ugh! Shocking! Still - he has a huge upside if he can learn to use the football in any kind of competent manner.

The defenders are a shambles - continuely not knowing who to mark and getting out of position. Kennelly on McVeigh?

I really don't think our problem is so much poor talent (though it doesn't help.) But poor organisation, in other words, coaching. The game plan should bend to the players you have - not the other way around.

I still rate Spriggs on ball. He is much cleaner than Kirk and Bolton and can escape the packs. If he could kick then our midfield would be sorted. But if he could kick I doubt Geelong would of let him go...

Spriggs is great at finding the ball and finding space. Not much good if you give it up with poor disposal though. The only way we can get him to work is to set up for him - have players nearby who can take the small handball as soon as he breaks from the pack. Are we smart enough to organise this...?

Spriggs and Davis working in the midfield could be brilliant.

                      What a game!

Seeing that we always tend to only play 3qtrs, the qtr we didn't play was the 3rd. Quite a good final term although they started to catch up and I got scared. I was so worried I was standing up and didn't realise I was blocking peoples vision.

Like, when that player hit Goodes in the stomach and laughed - what a doofus. Poor Buchanan with his eye, he went for goal and probably couldn't see where he was going.

When Nicky D pulled his hammy in the first qtr, I nearly hit the roof!

Oh yeah - Ryan played well <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3

And it was nice to see that Vogels and Moore had a fairly good game. They kciked their first goal in their first game - bless.

What a pity that Vogels didn't take that grouse mark near our goals, it hit the ground first

I meant Spriggs is ok kicking to a short target but when forced to go long can't penetrate to the correct bloke. If there's no one short he's forced to take this option. Only things going for him are fitness and ability to get it off by hand through traffic. IMHO you only can have one of Schneider, Spriggs and Buchanan in the side.

Schneider should stay in a forward pocket and become a crumbing goal specialist. Its what he does best and there were a few occassions last night when we had noone waiting for crumbs as a tall or talls went up for the ball.

I thought Buchanan was good last night. Maybe his best game this year.

Even when Spriggs handpasses to a Swans player, most of the time its to someone under pressure.

Many Swans last night constantly handballed to stagnant targets.

Definitely his best game for the year so far but he needs to be able to produce close to this level of performance week in week out if he is to progress from fringe player to regular.

He also still needs to convert better for goal - he kicked 3 behinds yesterday and they were gettable shots.
