Spriggs HAS to go. It's impossible to think that anyone could seriously suggest McVeigh would not do better than what Spriggs put up on the weekend. neickls would be better...Malceski, Willoughby, Schmidt would HAVE to be better wouldn't they?
Schneider would be much better. If you put him in the midfield he would get 10 possies but actually create something with some of them and not turn it over with so many pathetic deliveries.
Vogels and Dempster HAVE to stay ahead of LRT.
Vogels showed real ball skill with the ball on the ground. I was impressed. Marked OK, looked confident, kicked a goal and was as tenancious as LRT (LRT's only major achievement keeping him in the team at the moment). And they are the same height, roughly.

LRT will get another run, I thought his game was much better on saturday. I have been a big knocker but at least he showed something
Mcveigh in Spriggs out
Jolly in Moore out
I think Vogels will get a longer run because he is 21 and it's make or break time for him this year, he's not 18. (not to say he didn't warrant a spot after last week)

I certainly hope the coaching staff dont think like you.
1. Moore should not be dropped ahead of LRT. We need someone in place of Willo and Maxi, and whilst Moore is not up to their standard, he is very bulky for his age (and a lot harder to push off the ball than McVeigh).
2. You forgot about Davis. Someone has to come in for him. May be Ball, but we'll see if he's ready.
3. Vogels has already showed enough to be kept on if possible. Its not make or break, but without space on our list he may well be lost to another club. I am confident he will be playing AFL for quite some time yet, and most of his career will be as a KPP.
I'd prefer to see one of the other young midfielders promoted in place of LRT, however Port have a bit of height so why not give LRT another chance, perhaps on Lade.

I fear for moore like mcveigh, where he is missing out on development time (playing) to play 10 minutes off the bench every match. (not the canberra leauge is that much better at the moment)
What I meant with Vogels is that their is no reason why he shouldn't be playing senior footy for now and the rest of the season if he is up to it (which it seems he is) because he is not adjusting to playing with Adults etc. By all means I hope Moore/Dempster/Vogels stays in and maybe even throw another young'un in to the mix, that's how you build a core.
I think Nicks has a lot to offer. The drop to the ressies might have been a wake up call.
McVeigh will get his chances, but hasn't done enough to show he will be as good as what people on here expect. His disposal is average, kicking goals on the run is terrible and he gets bumped off the ball way too easily.
I'm not trying to bad mouth McVeigh, these things are all fixable, kicking practice and time in the gym will see to that. My point is that there are other players more valuable to the team AT THE MOMENT then McVeigh.
i think we all know by now that Roos isnt about to drop LRT. If he does, THANK GOD!!.
But lets be honest, he has stuck with him for last 2 seasons, why would he suddnely drop him when his performance last weekend was no worse than other weeks. Its sad, but LRT will be there this weekend - without a doubt. (Please let me eat humble pie)
Meanwhile
IN: Mcveigh - Out: Spriggs
In: Jolly - Out - Davis
i think thats all the changes we need - obviously id like LRT to go but realistically theres no point suggestinghe will.. however
IN: Ball (only if fit, which i dont think he really is) OUT: LRT
Love to see kennelly in the mids, keep moore in there too. Will be asking for MOL to go if he has another crap game this weekend - sick of seeing him play the free all the time, rarely does he stay on his feet.
Cant believe some think that Moore or Vogels will be dropped... I reckon:
Ins: Jolly, Mcveigh, Nicks.
Outs: LRT, Spriggs, Davis.
Jolly - Definite
Mcveigh - has earnt a decent run in the midfield now Maxy n Willo are out
Nicks - Got a boot up the ass, now bring him back
LRT - We need some players with a bitta skill vs Port, he offers NONE
Spriggs - Gotta learn to hit a target on the tits, especially when hes in space!
Davis - Unlucky to miss out...

I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.
IN: Jolly (done the time), Ball (if fit), McVeigh
OUT: Davis (Inj), two of Spriggs, LRT or Mathews
Roosy may keep LRT in the side if Ball isn't fit. We've just lost Doyle for the season so LRT is more likely to remain in the side. Had Doyle been avaialble LRT's position in the side would be shaky.
