    By Tim Morrissey

CAFFEINE tablets sold under the brand name No-Doz are freely available to all Sydney Swans players in the change rooms before every game.

I couln't stay awake long enough to read that.

If it is not illegal (yet) then it is no big deal. And with all these night games, I'd be taking them too.

Yep, storm in a tea cup until (if ever) they become a banned substance.

So you don't drink tea, coffee or coke?

Tim Morrissey has understandably mistaken the Swans for a fencing team.

Sorry, I should have said cola. See what mass marketing does.

Do you have a reference for a medical paper or newspaper article etc on that?

Lots of drugs are natural (caffeine, alcohol, marijuana, psilocybin all occur in nature).

My bet is Bevan is eating them all and no one else gets any. LRT and Matthews should be eating at least half a dozen prior to each game.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Oops forgot about him. He would be a 20 'no doze' a day man.

True! But what is being challenged here is the concentration. But, as Scott says, they are quite legal and the same caffeine levels can be achieved with several cups of strong coffee or the any of the caffeine-heavy 'soft' drinks readily available (like Red Bull).

Whether the players get a sustainable level of benefit for the duration of the game is questionable, but not one that I can answer.

Arsenic is present in small quantities in many natural foods and is actually an essential part of our diet in trace amounts but it is well established that larger quantities are a bad idea.

Even excessive consumption of water can be bad for you. It does take a lot though.

Excessive consumption of tree bark is also bad for you...
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.
