I know for a fact that spinach is an extremely high accumulator of arsenic. However it does not exceed the WHO recomended intake. But the amount was surprisingly high compared to other fruits, vegetables and trees we studied. So a health tip for all you people out there... Do not eat 1 tonne of spinach a day or you will die from arsenic poisoningOriginally posted by j s
Arsenic is present in small quantities in many natural foods and is actually an essential part of our diet in trace amounts but it is well established that larger quantities are a bad idea.

edit: would anyone like to know anything else on arsenic accumulators and their impact on the Victorian Golden Triangle?Last edited by Tooth Fairy; 12 May 2005, 12:11 PM.If u don't believe me, I will knock your bloody teeth out and not pay you a cent.Comment

Actually its Taurine in Red Bull and V. Much stronger than caffeine.Originally posted by j s
any of the caffeine-heavy 'soft' drinks readily available (like Red Bull).
It should also be noted that "dietary supplement" drinks like Red Bull and V have been banned in South America. This is because of the effects it has on young children. Personally I dont let my kids (2 and 4) drink cola yet either.
Try downing a few Red Bull's in an hour and see what it does to you. Sure the first one gives you a buzz, but after that the result doesn't feel great. Our Greatest Moment:

I once saw a parent pour Cola straight from a 2 litre bottle into a baby's bottle, screw the teat back on, and give it to their kid who could have been no more than 9 or 10 months old.Originally posted by Schneiderman

Once I had to drive from Melbourne to Armidale NSW and did it in 16 hours straight. I drank 8 cans of red-bull along the way. Set off at 2am in the morning and got there at around 6pm that night.Originally posted by Schneiderman

When I arrived I did the dishes, vacuumed the floor, washed the dog and didn't sleep for 2 days. I reckon if I had played footy, I would have racked up 40 possesions and kicked 8 goals. Mackes me wonder what McVeigh has been up to based on last week's reserves performance. He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.Comment

Do you have a reference for a medical paper or newspaper article etc on that?
