Hey, I'm allowed blind foolish optimism as much as anyone.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

So you're sick of the blind optimism of my posts I take it...?

Now you know how tiresome it is to read!

Where are these blindly optimistic posts of which you speak? Is there another board here that I haven't found yet?

By far the majority of RWO posters are negative at the moment. Not an over reaction to complain about the odd positive post?

I find just simple complaining all the time a bit tiresome, however it is understandable to some degree when the team is constantly disappointing and underperforming.

However, I find it even more tiresome that people come on here all holier than thou and say that no wonder the team is losing with supporters like us and we should get behind the team and things can only get better and we shouldn't be complaining.

It's especially annoying when this is directed at people who are talking in specifics or detail about some of the problems and issues of the team.

And it is such a joy to read people bagging the crap out of your club day in day out.I think the baggers win hands down on number of posts and vitriol.
For the record I am disappointed the way we are travelling,we have players out of form and whose skill levels have got worse.
However based on the previous years of Roos coaching I am confident we can make a run for the finals(I know, the mating call of the loser).
We are stuck in a rut of midtable going nowhere but I do not want to trawl the bottom of the ladder for a few years hoping to get some good young players while the club implodes.

We will have to buy our way out of it somehow I don't know how.
I am not a cockeyed optimist but a realist who understands we have a pretty average list compared to most teams and getting to the finals is an achievement with the talent in our team.

Given performance and past history, it's hardly surprising.

Well no - I think there is a fine line between being confident or hopeful that we can't improve and simply expecting it and not allowing anyone to have a view otherwise.

Annoying week at work plus sick of people saying that we are whingers if we call it as we see it when talking about the team (one of my favourites from a few weeks ago was being told to stop analysing the Brisbane win and pointing out concerns as I should just enjoy it instead).

Lol. Still on that one eh?

Well whenever I am having a bad day at work I jump on afl.com.au and watch that last quarter again (along with Sat night's one). Still get a mini adrenaline rush every time we score. It also keeps me upbeat about our chances.

                            Each to their own.

Speaking of eating, I'm finding a little hard to swallow some people's thoughts that last weeks win was season defining (Kirk's words straight after the game). We've got a **** load of a long way to go before we have a season back on track.

I'm quite pessimistic about this weeks game although something we may have going for us was that it appeared to be Ports 'old firm' (Primus, Wangeneen, etc.) that got them the big win last week. There's no reason why we shouldn't find it too hard to shut them down and open the game up ourselves.

It's the way we played the last minute that really got my goat and it wouldn't surprise me at all to see us take that attitude into the first quarter this week.

Quite a few people here always take advantage of any opportunity to have a go at the few positive posters as well. Works both ways.

In my opinion, each to their own. I would class myself as positive but without other peoples opinions we'd all just be agreeing with each other - that'd be pretty boring (unless it was me that everyone was agreeing with of course )
