Out of that list, the Swans play Brisbane and the Kangaroos twice so the Swans are entitled to play them once at home.

Same deal - the Swans play Adelaide twice so one game must be away. Adelaide are in the 8 so how can they be struggling? The Swans have a poor record against the Crows so playing them twice is a tough draw for us.

The Swans play Essendon and Hawthorn twice this year, so of course we must play one game away. Carlton are the only other side we play in Melbourne who are struggling, but we only play them once. Same with Collingwood, we only play them once. Richmond are third so they are clealy not struggling, St Kilda and Melbourne are in the 8 so they are not struggling either.

The Swans have played in Perth this year already. The Swans also play West Coast twice, who are unbeaten this year. Playing the top side twice is hardly a soft draw.

You also did not pay any attention at all to which sides we play twice, and that is very important when assessing the difficulty of a draw. Adelaide, West Coast, Melbourne and Kangaroos are all currently in the 8 and we play all of those sides twice. Of the sides we play twice the ones who are not in the 8 are Brisbane, Essendon and Hawthorn. Brisbane are always a tough side, and they don't count because the AFL have chosen to arrange the fixture so we almost always play Brisbane twice each year.

Your method of assessing the fixture is poor, because you only chose to emphasise a few points that backed up your argument, and completely ignored everything that counted against it. If this was a structured debate you would lose, badly, by having your vague arguments torn to shreds in the rebuttal. Next time you choose to assess the difficulty of a fixture, do so quantitatively, using clear, repeatable guidelines, and do it for all 16 sides. Qualitative assessments for a single side based on vague qualifiers such as "struggling" (which by your definition seems to include every side not in the top four) aren't worth much.

Instead of replying to his ridiculous posts, why doesn't everyone just post LOL and a big happy

And nod your head knowing that F/Head has forgotten to take his medication.

Only do this for his ridiculous posts though. Like this one.

He can sometimes draft up some good posts when in the off season. Basically this is due to the time allowed him to prose when there is no footy being played. However, in the footy season, the week by week nature of our game does not allow him enough time to get pen and paper out. Oh, that and all his article/book writing that he does.

Tooth Fairy, next time I intend to do so, but I was bored so I chose to dissect the vague tripe he submitted as his argument.

I won't say stuff about medication though, because that's getting personal and I prefer to play the ball rather than the man in online discussions. It is sufficient to counter weak arguments.

Yes but my motto is "It's always good to joke when dealing with a joker."

And you don't have to mention it, you just have to nod knowingly.

yeah i think Footyhead has called me a novice, and written several other people off based on the amount of posts they have rather than their actual points of argument - signals to me a guy who has lots of opinions but can only defend them by making personal attacks on those who cant agree. Then again, do we expect anyting less from someone who is a St Kilda supported yet has nothing better to do than trawl through RWO making rash claims and personal attacks?

its quite likely FH is having a whinge due to the sainters poor performance at Subiaco over the weekend..
