    Take a Bow Sydney Fans

Well safely back home after a thoroughly enjoyable 2nd trip to the SCG thought I would post some thoughts on the match the crowds and the great atmosphere.

Firstly while the crowd may not have been huge considering the capacity of the SCG, for someone who finds Saturday morning shopping in Waggas main street a bit too crowded being in a crowd of 24 000 was a great experience. The way the crowd was really getting into the game was great, to hear the boos the Port players constantly got was terrific and the Sydney chant reverberating around the ground just added to the atmosphere.

However the highlight was definitely at the end of the match when everyone rose and sang cheer cheer with a passion that clearly showed that these people had a real passion and love for their club take a bow all, you should feel proud of the support you are showing for a wonderful club.

The match itself was perhaps not a match full of great skills but it was tough close and competitive and of course most importantly the Swans won. Very impressed with Jolly a great acquisition for the club, the defence was excellent I am hoping Leo will get the full time captains job next year everything about him is inspirational remember this guy is only 184cm tall.

My one regret is that again I did not get to meet any of you guys but it looks like we will be down again for the Geelong match so hopefully I can catch some of you then.
    cheers Ian

Must say it was good to hear the sideline commentators fearing for their life during that appalling spell of umpiring. One of them actually said he feared a riot if another decision went against us.

Good to see some passion from the Sydney crowd!

On a Port board Sydney supporters were compared to Collingwood supporters by someone at the game..I don't know if that is good or bad.
Umpires bring out the passion in everyone.

They should watch the replay of last weeks game against the Roos to see how bad they are, themselves.

BTW Ian, Is this 2 games (in Sydney) for 1 win or 2??

So where did you end up sitting?

We got there at about 11.00am - (upstairs MA Noble) and to our shock we had actually beaten the oldies to the seats - amazing anyway - we had a great time - and it was a good win.

            bring on the doggies.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

1 win and 1 loss Scott my first visit was the Kangaroos match last year which saw us lose after leading by 40 points at the last break and of course the passing of Wally Jackson not a pleasant occasion.

Trust me to miss the good bit, seriously in relation to where you come out at the top of the stairs were you in the top couple of rows at the back or further down.

four rows down from top of stairs behind goal posts - scary women in blue coat - me, other 2 Ange & Tammy and Jo (in pink) there were actually 4 of us yesterday.

and I dont know why you find Wagga shops daunting, its a great shopping centre (dont like Romano's pub though - a bit rough for my liking!)

Good job I did not make any comments to those other 3 ladies obviously not the right group, now about the Wagga shops the shops in Wagga are very good but the crowds down town on Saturday morning make things a bit crowded for my liking.

As for Romano's not my cup of tea either, but some of the other pubs are worse these days I prefer a nice meal at some of our good eating establishments.
ps if you think I have a thing about crowds there is a reason for this but its something I would rather not discuss on an open forum.
                            cheers Ian

There is nothing worse than Port supporters. They are the feral scum of the Earth; the most rabid, one eyed, arrogant supporters you will ever find. I hate them passionately.
