Late in the game he cleverly ran across the face of goal and was sensibly ignored by Leo Barry.

Actually as good as his goals were, I particularly loved when he spilled the mark (not that bit) but then followed & hit MOL on the chest with a luvly pass. Wish our midfielders could pass like that...

And one other thing worth noting- Sean Dempster is playing absolutely sensational footy. Given the hyperanalysis that all players (and especially youngsters) get on RWO, the fact there have been so few posts about him speaks volumes. (He won't catch up to the posts that Hyphen already has, in his whole career, at this rate.)

He gels in so well with the other guys that he looks like he's been playing in the backline forever, and (much like Vogels) is admirably willing for a young tacker to back himself and take a chance.

No. 1 minute LRT would do something good for us but then the next minute he would totally defeat the purpose of trying to improve. Early 1st qtr, he had the ball and wouldn't get rid of it. He always takes too long to get rid of the ball. LRT can't make his decisions quick enough.

He just looks so composed, like he's been playing seniors for years. Occasionally beaten but never rattled. And I'm sorry but I can't help myself - the contrast with the Hyphenator is glaring!

The way he steadied himself just before he slotted that 2nd goal was great. He certainly does have composure.

That was a lovely pass low and hard str8 at him. No defender could have spoiled that (unless they were in front of course).

Also how about his 50 metre pass straight to the lead of Jude Bolton tight in our defensive 50.

Excellent presence of mind and awareness in traffic. So unusual for a Swans player...

There is more to it than stats - he looks comfortable when he has the ball. He also played less time than LRT.

                            Try this for another stat.

Bevan - 9 possessions 6 clangers and 1 free against.

And was that appalling kick on the run in the last Q to Hall, or was MOL, or was it Vogels that went off the side of his boot and close to OOB classed as a clanger. If it wasn't it should have. No matter how hard he is those sort of stats cannot keep him in the side.

bevo is doing it tough at the moment, im pretty sure he'll be in the ressies this week to get some form and confidence

its a far cry from last season - how good was his match winning goal against the blues

Hey Barry, for someone so eager to promote LRT's cause, I would have expected you'd steer clear of possession stats for defenders.
