True, but I don't think he would be the worst. Remember great names such as Brad Hardie and Shane Woewoeful have won brownlows. I think $251 is over the odds, but I also do not think that he is going to win the brownlow. He is having a good season but definitely not a brownlow season to this point.

Bit harsh - I think he'd be a worthy winner, tho frankly I can't see it happening.

I remember a great story about Jude at draft camp - supposedly one of the tougher nut coaches came up to him and said something to the effect of "I used to love playing on pretty boys like you and making their lives a misery."!!

To give him his due, there are few tougher (& prettier) blokes in AFL than Jude - and here I'm not confusing toughness with thuggery. Good on him - now if he can just work on his delivery & kicking a few more goals I'll be delighted.

I didn't say 'worst' - I said 'one of the worst' - like Libba, Woewoeful, Hardie, Brian Wilson.

Worth a $20 bet. If it pays off that's $5000. If it doesn't, well I'm out $20. I sometimes lose more than that playing poker, so it's no big deal.

The Swans are paying $1.90 odds to make the finals. Plonk another $25 on the Swans making the finals, and we only lose if the Swans don't make the finals and Jude doesn't win. If the Swans make the finals then we get our money back, and if Jude gets up in the Brownlow we clean up.

I said it in a thread on Monday, Jude was amazing with his intensity in the 4th on Sunday. He lifted the others and basically kept the onballers in the game when it was looking tight.

I too wish he was slotting a goal a game. That would put him up there with the elite. If Jude's kicking goals, means we're spending a healthy amount of time in the our F50.

Yeah he's good but not for captain.

i think he'd make a fine captain and is worthy of serious consideration alongside hall, kirk and goodes. i have to ask what it is you want beyond toughness, reliability, intelligence and presentability? admittedly he doesn't do much that's flash and his disposal is not the best, but i reckon we'd miss him as much as any other player in the team at the moment.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

I think that there is too many choices with all good qualities. It's good that there is no set, confirmed captain and the moment because its a tough selection.

I heard that Maxfield may never play again and retire. But he'd be so stupid to miss his 300th AFL game. That opens up so many doors.

I am not a fan of Jude Bolton,

                          But...

I must give credit where credit is due.He is having a pretty solid season and his form has been good in most games.
Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.

Your determination, your tenacity and your under-rated skill is why you have become my favourite player!

He has been better this season for sure. I kind of discussed it in another thread but I am not convinced he is good enough to get us to a Premiership. Maybe if he has a kick arse finals campaign he will... or I stop expecting too much out of him.

Forget about putting money on Jude Bolton at $251, I heard that Luke Hodge (Hawthorn) was at $128 and thats where my money will be going, especially if the hawks keep winning.

Players generate their own goodwill and I remember a few years ago on my way back from Melbourne being at Sydney airport and the Swans were returning from an interstate game. I was talking to the kids on the phone telling them that the Swans were also there. One thing led to another and before you knew it I had Jude on the phone talking to the kids one after another. It was a thrill for them and great PR. He is a really nice bloke and in my opinion one of the workhorses in the team who really puts in and never stops trying. IMHO the Swans would be much poorer without him.
